Chinmaya Vidyalaya Anna Nagar foundation stone was laid on January 1, 1989, by the great visionary his holiness Swami Chinmayanandji. Anna Nagar Chinmaya Vidyalaya was started functioning with a strength of just 11 students and four faculty members. The school has celebrated the silver jubilee in the year 2014. The silver jubilee function of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Anna Nagar was blessed with the presence and words from his holiness Swami Tejomayanandaji, Head, Chinmaya Mission worldwide.

Admission Procedure

Parents need to coordinate with Anna Nagar Chinmaya Vidyalaya to get the latest information about the admission process. They must fill in the application forms as soon as released by the school authorities. The filled-in application form is to be submitted along with requisite documents.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya Anna Nagar Admission to LKG	A child must have completed the age of three years and six months as on June 1 of the year of the admission application
Admission to classes UKG to X	The school will consider admission only on the basis of the availability of seats. The student must fulfil the requirements of the CBSE scheme of curriculum and must also give TC issued by Educational Department or must be from a school recognised by central or state board. The final admission will be on the entrance exam performance by the child.
Anna Nagar Chinmaya Vidyalaya Admission to class XI	A student should have passed the secondary school exam of CBSE or X std. Public exam in Engish Medium, under the new XII scheme in the SSLC, ICSE or Matric. The preference will be given to students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya who have passed the above exam and the marks obtained.
