Students from OBC/EBC/DNT backgrounds enrolled in Classes 10 and 12 of TCSs can apply for the PM YASASVI Scholarship by submitting their marks from the previous year's final exam. About PM Yasasvi Scholarship

The PM YASASVI Scheme is for Top Class Schools (TCSs) which have maintained 100% pass percentage in Class 10 and 12 exams. The TCSs will be shortlisted by a committee chaired by the Joint Secretary (BC) in the Ministry with the representation from Department of School Education and the NITI Ayog. The number of scholarship slots under PM YASASVI for each state and each class will be announced in the month of April every year.

The OBC/EBC/DNT studying in TCSs can apply on the NSP portal. The applications will be verified online by the Nodal Officers of the School, and later confirmed by the State Government. A state-wise merit list for each class will be prepared based on marks obtained in the previous class and scholarship will be allocated automatically based on merit.

PM YASASVI Scheme 2024: Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must fall under one of the following categories: OBC/ EBC/ DNT.
• The annual income of the candidate's parents must not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
• Both male and female students are allowed to apply for this program.
• Students in classes 9 onwards till Class 12 are eligible to apply for the YASASVI scholarship program.
• Students must be enrolled in Top Class Schools.
• Public schools (Central/State/Local Body), aided schools, and private schools can qualify as TCSs.

How to Apply for PM YASASVI Scholarship Scheme 2024

Students have to register themselves on the National Scholarship Portal to apply for the PM YASASVI Scholarship. Below, we have provided a general instruction to apply for the PM YASASVI Scheme online:

• Visit the official website of the NSP, scholarships.gov.in.
• Login to the NSP account or create a new account if the candidate is not registered.
• Go to the "PM Yasasvi Central Sector Scheme of Top Class Education in Schools for OBC, EBC and DNT Students".
• Fill out the required details and documents and submit it.

Note: The application form will be verified by the Nodal officer of the school and confirmed by the state government online.

Conditions Required for PM YASASVI Scholarship 2024

• Students must have a bank account to apply for the PM YASASVI Scholarship.
• If required, the school must have an Aadhaar-based attendance system integrated into the central portal.
• Students who have applied for the PM YASASVI scholarship cannot receive same benefits under other government schemes.

The PM Yasasvi Scholarship is available for students from Class 9 onwards till class 12. Under this scholarship, students in Classes 9 to 10 will receive financial aid of Rs 75,000, while students in Classes 11 and 12 will receive financial aid of Rs 1,25,000.
