About SOF ISO 2026
SOF ISO 2026-27 - The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is responsible for conducting the SOF ISO exam. The foundation conducts the exam in two levels, Level 1 and Level 2. Students studying in Classes 1 to 12 can apply for the SOF ISO 2026-27 level 1 exam. Whereas the ISO level 2 exam is held for students from classes 3 to 12. SOF ISO 2026-27 registration is typically concluded 30 days before the exam date. Students can register through their respective schools.
- NSO exam has been renamed to the ISO exam. It is an annual scholarship exam that tests students’ scientific reasoning and logical ability.
- Students need to submit the ISO application form along with the registration fee of Rs 170 at their respective schools.
- The SOF will conduct the ISO level 1 exam 2026-27 in three sets as per the following schedule
- Set A - October 30, 2026
- Set B - November 19, 2026
- Set C - December 3, 2026
- The SOF will release the ISO answer key for Sets A, B and C in December 2026.
- The SOF ISO results will be released online in January 2027, through the official website, sofworld.org.
- The exam is held in offline mode for a duration of 1 hour.
- The SOF ISO 2nd-level exam is conducted for students of Classes 3 to 12 who qualify in the Level 1 examination. The IMO 2nd-level exam will take place in February 2027.

SOF ISO Important Dates
SOF ISO SOF International Science Olympiad (session 2026)
- Students enrolled in classes 1 to 12 are eligible to apply for SOF ISO 2026-27 through their respective years.
- A student can apply for the exam once a year.
- The organising body sends the prospectus of SOF ISO 2026-27 containing registration forms to all schools registered with SOF.
- Students need to contact their respective schools to fill out the ISO application form.
- The schools will then return the duly filled registration forms to SOF along with the application fees within the dates specified.
- The students' roll numbers will be generated by the coordinating teacher appointed in each school.
- They will also send a copy of the roll numbers of students.
- At least 10 students must be registered from each school for the ISO exam 2026-27.

- Students who are preparing for the National Science Olympiad 2026-27 should solve the sample papers for a better understanding of the exam pattern and syllabus.
- They can also check their preparation level by solving the sample papers.
- Sample papers also help students improve their performance in the SOF ISO 2026-27 examination.
The foundation releases the Level 1 exam admit cards one or two weeks before the exams. Students can collect their ISO admit cards from the respective school authorities. Whereas, the candidates can download the ISO admit card for the level 2 exam from the official website.
- The SOF will release the ISO answer key for Set A, Set B and Set C in December 2026.
- Class 1 to 12 students can download the National Science Olympiad answer keys by visiting the link given above.
- The answer keys contain all the correct answers to SOF ISO 2026-27.
- The Science Olympiad Foundation will announce the level 1 exam results in January 2027.
- Students can check their results by visiting their respective schools or accessing them online on SOF’s official website.
The ISO Level 1 cutoff 2026-27 will be released in January 2027. The cut-off is released a few days before the result announcement. Students can check the current and previous years' cutoff below.
NSO Cut-Off 2025-26 - 1st Level Top 5%
The SOF NSO cut-off marks 2026-27 are applicable to determine the top 5% students class-wise, qualifying for the second level.
