SOF has laid out a few pointers for students, which are given below:
The NSO Level 1 exam will have 60% of questions from the current class syllabus and 40% from the previous class syllabus. Example: Class 7 NSO exam will have 60% of questions from the Class 7 syllabus and 40% of questions from the Class 6 syllabus.
Level 2 NSO questions will be from the current class syllabus only for the appearing candidate.
Questions in the ‘Achievers Section’ will be from the current class syllabus of the appearing candidate.

The Science Olympiad Foundation will declare the NSO result 2025-26 for level 2 in March 2026. The NSO Level 1 result will be declared in January 2026.
