This year they were conducted between March 27 to April 11, 2018. The result of West Bengal class 12th have been declared on June 8, 2018. The overall pass percentage this year is 83.57%. Granthan Sengupta from Jalpaiguri District School (Arts stream)  bagged the first position with 99.2%. The second place is taken by Ritvik Kumar Sahu. He scored 98.6% (science stream). In the year 2017, WB class 12 results were announced on May 30. The overall pass percentage was 84.20%. About 7.56 lakh students, an equal number of boys and girls, wrote the exam in 2017. The pass rate among male students was 85.15% while that of female candidates was 83.26%. West Bengal 12th Eligibility Criteria 2018

A student must have passed his/her class 11th from a recognised board of education to be eligible to sit for WB class 12 exam. Regular, private and correspondence course candidates will be eligible for admission only if he/she fulfills the requirements issued by the secretary of WBCHSE. Student who fails in one subject of external examination shall be eligible for supplementary examination in that subject 

About the Board

West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education came into existence through the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, Act 1975. It was established to regulate the educational system at 10+2 level. The WBCSHE is responsible for conducting examinations for the evaluation at Higher Secondary level and it also provides the curriculum, syllabus and the courses of studies and prescribes the textbooks etc. Every year, 7 lakh plus students participate in the West Bengal Board Examination.
