Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education was established through legislation under the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education Act, 1975. The board conducts public examinations of JKBOSE 10th and also publishes the result. Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) prescribes the courses of instruction, scheme of studies, prepares syllabi and textbooks for the school education. JKBOSE conducts the exam for Jammu province(summer zone/winter zone) and Kashmir province(winter zone). JKBOSE 10th exam 2019 for summer zone have been conducted from February 27 to March 24, 2019. The result of JKBOSE 10th 2019 has been announced on May 13, 2019 in the online mode. Exams for winter zone is held in the month of October. The board declares the result for Jammu, Kargil, Leh, and Ladakh regions. Students can check their result by using their roll number or name.
Students who have cleared class 9th were eligible to apply for JKBOSE 10th 2019 exam. Students must also have studied class 10 under JKBOSE or any recognized education board.

Given below is the exam pattern of JKBOSE 10th 2019. All papers carry a maximum of 80 marks and is of 3 hours duration.
English subject has the following sections:
Reading- 20 marks
Writing – 20 marks
Grammar – 20 marks
Literature – 20 marks
Unseen passages – 20 marks
Literature – 30 marks
Writing – 10
The question paper consist of 34 question divided into four sections A, B, C, D. Section A contains 12 multiple choice type question, first 8 (1-8) of which carries mark each, next 4 (9-12) carries 2 marks each Section B contains 7 questions 2 marks each, Section C contains 10 questions
of 3 marks each and Section D contains 5 questions of 4 marks each.
Science and Social Science
The total marks of Science and S.St papers is 90 and a candidate gets 3-3.5 hours to solve it.
