NIOS Class 10th Exam Pattern Subject Wise 2025

To prepare well for the NIOS exam, students must solve previous years’ NIOS question papers. It will help them understand the type of question that is asked in the examination. Along with that, it is important to know the exam pattern of the NIOS class 10th exam. Below, we have provided the NIOS Class 10th exam pattern subject-wise for students reference.

NIOS Class 10th Exam Pattern for Hindi

The NIOS board will conduct the NIOS Hindi exam Class 10 for 3 hours. The NIOS 10th Hindi question paper 2025 will carry 100 marks. There will be 37 questions, all compulsory. The question paper will have two sections, Section A and Section B. Section A will contain objective-type questions and MCQs while Section B will contain subjective/descriptive-type questions.

NIOS Class 10th English Exam Pattern

The NIOS Class 10th English question paper will carry 100 marks in total. There will be 35 questions that will be divided into two parts, Part A and Part B. The exam will be held for 3 hours. All the questions in the question paper will be compulsory except for internal choice questions.

NIOS Class 10th Mathematics Exam Pattern

NIOS Class 10th Maths question paper will consists of 44 questions in total. The Maths subject will carry 85 marks. The paper will be divided into two Sections, A and B. Section A will consist of multiple-choice questions and objective-type questions. Section B will consist of very short answer type, short answer type and long answer type questions.

NIOS Class 10th Science and Technology Exam Pattern

The Class 10 NIOS Science and Technology question paper will carry 85 marks. The exam will be held for 2 and a half hours. The question paper will consist of 43 compulsory questions and it will be further divided into two sections. Section A will consist of 28 questions and Section B will contain 15 questions. NIOS 10th Class Social Science Exam Pattern

The Class 10th Social Science NIOS question paper will be held for 3 hours. The question paper will carry 100 marks in total. All questions will be compulsory. A total of 51 questions will be asked. NIOS Class 10th Economics Exam Pattern

The board will conduct the NIOS Economics exam for Class 10 for 3 hours. The question paper will carry 100 marks. Students will have to answer 54 questions in total, each with different marks. The NIOS Economics question paper for Class 10 will be divided into two sections, Section A will consist of multiple choice type questions and objective type questions that will carry 1 mark and 2 marks per question respectively. Section B will consist of very short answer type, short answer type and long answer type questions. The questions in Section B will carry 2 marks, 3 marks and 5 marks each respectively.

Business Studies NIOS Class 10 Exam Pattern

The Business Studies question paper will carry 100 marks in total and the examination will be held for 3 hours. There will be 51 questions in the NIOS Class 10th Business Studies question paper. The paper will be divided into three sections, Sections A, B and C. For 5 mark questions, students will have to answer using 80-120 words, which is the longest answer type question.
