About GSEB HSC 2020

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Education Board (GSEB) conducts the HSC class 12 board exams every year in the month of March. The application process for Gujarat board 12th exams is held through respective schools. Students can fill the application forms for the GSEB 12th exam by submitting required documents and fee to respective schools. Check the following highlights of GSEB HSC exam 2020:

  • Gujarat board has released GSEB HSC time table 2020 on December 31, 2019.
  • The date sheet released by GSEB mentions all the details like subject wise exam date and timing of the GSEB 12th exams.
  • The GSEB HSC exam 2020 will be organized from March 5 to 21, 2020. 
  • GSEB 12th exams 2020 will be conducted in the evening shift between 3:00 pm to 6:15 pm. 
  • Students should go through GSEB class 12 syllabus 2020 to know the topics they need to study.
  • The board will provide the admit cards for GSEB HSC exams in February 2020 through respective schools. 
  • Students should download and solve previous year question papers to practise with types of questions asked in the GSEB 12th 2020 exams.
  • The board will declare GSEB 12th result 2020 in the second week of May 2020 for science students whereas commerce and arts students will be able to check their scores in last week of May 2020.
  • Students are required to score a minimum of 33 per cent marks out of total marks to pass the GSEB HSC 2020 exams.
  • The rechecking-result of GSEB 12th exams will be announced in the third week of June 2020.

GSEB HSC 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Here are the main eligibility conditions to appear for GSEB 12th exams 2020:

  • A student must have cleared class 11 from Gujarat Board of Secondary Education or any other recognised board of education.
  • The student must have enrolled in class 12 in a school affiliated by GSEB.

  • Students who are appearing for GSEB HSC exam 2020 are required to fill the application form to sit for the exam. 
  • The GSEB 12th application form 2020 can be filled online for private students. 
  • For regular students enrolled in schools, the respective schools fill the application form on behalf of their students.

GSEB HSC 2020 Preparation Tips

The following tips will aid students to prepare for GSEB 12th exams 2020:

    • Prepare a time table to devote enough time to prepare for each subject and revise them.

    • Spend more time on the weak areas of each subject.

    • Make notes of important points in a separate notebook. Using the highlighter to highlight the important terms, phrases, abbreviations, equations and formulae is also a good idea.     

    • Solve as many previous years’ question papers as possible and try to complete it in the allotted time. 

    • Students must go through their own answer sheet after solving these previous year question papers, because doing so would help them analyse their performance and where they stand at the current stage of preparation.

The GSEB HSC exam pattern 2020 is prescribed by GSEB for the arts, science and commerce streams. The exam is held for three hours in paper-pen mode. Students must know the exam pattern GSEB 12th 2020 to be familiar with the marking scheme, number of questions and types of questions asked in the exam. Students have to score 33 per cent marks to pass in GSEB HSC 2020 exams. Subject-wise exam pattern of GSEB 12th for some of the subjects is given below:

GSEB HSC 2020 Admit Card

  • The admit card for GSEB HSC 2020 will be made available in February 2020. 
  • GSEB 12th admit card 2020 is an important document and must be carried to the exam. 
  • It contains information, such as candidate’s name, roll number, exam schedule, school name, signature, photo etc. 
  • Each school will provide the admit card to its students. Private students can download it from the official website of GSEB.

No, you cannot appear for GUJCET.
In order to be eligible, a candidate must have passed Class 12th with PCM/ PCB stream with a minimum of 45% of marks.

Hi,im given the exam Gseb Hsc science last year but i failed in main 3 subjects(pcb).so i will attempt the exam this year march 2020 only 3 subjects...nd this year syllabus was changed...so which syllabus I read..im so confused . current syllbaus(NCERT) or Old syllabus!??plz suggest me soon !!!

i am not sure, but since you'll be appearing for examinations that you haven't cleared previously, I think it would be based on the old syllabus because if there are significant changes in the syllabus and you haven't been trained about that, they cant't ask you the questions. However, please contact your school or the board centre for being fully sure about this.


I was failed last year nd this year Im giving the exam in GSEB HSC SCIENCE 2020 in PCB nd my confusion is ..this year syllabus had changed (NCERT).so in which syllabus I have learn ???plz suggest me as soon as possible !

see syllabus should be different for regular candidates and second time appearing or backlog  candidates. you need to check the official website of respective board to get the details of the syllabus. or I would suggest you to contact with your faculty of school from where you have studied 10+2 course.
