which is tough neet or nso......

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 18th Jan, 2020

Ayush, it has to be NSO. NEET is the entrance examination for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayush and Veterinary Courses across India. Now NSO is a competitive exam conducted for cultivating scientific reasoning and logical ability. This needs an indepth knowledge of science. But once someone prepares for NSO, appearing for NEET becomes easier because the preparation is extensive. You get a deep understanding of the basics and so at later stages, preparing for NEET becomes easier.

which books are recommended for NSO & IMO 2nd PREPARATION

sarthak goel 15th Jan, 2020

Hello Krish,

Kindly mention which class NSO and IMO you are talking about.

Practising NCERT and your school books question is advisable. Download previous year questions, and some preparatory books ussually MCQs of science. When talking about IMO, since most of the portion is mathematics, practising many books as well as other competitions papers can be an option. There are several other exams such as NTSE, NSTSE, RMO(for 10th), and many more. It is important to remember that the topics will be the same as that of the school syllabus however the level will be upgraded, therefore, try practising tricky and more logical questions of that topic.

For NSO, science is involved learning NCERT will be extremely beneficial especially for biology and chemistry related questions.

Try solving Mental ability questions from legit books, and forget to solve sample papers and previous year papers. Download from here:

Looking at your enthusiasm and dedication towards Olympiads, that is NSO and IMO, let me tell you that the syllabus for each class remains almost the same. Only, the level.of questions are changed. You get more advanced questions based on the basic concepts of your class itself. So, you need to prepare well and solve as many concept questions of different difficulty levels as you can.
