JNVST Class 6 Exam Pattern 2020 - Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti prescribed the JNVST exam pattern for class 6th. The question paper is divided into three sections: MAT, AT and LT. JNVST 2020 exam pattern for class 6th includes test duration, maximum marks, test mode and other details. As per Navodaya exam pattern of 6th class, there will be a total of 80 questions for 100 marks. A candidate will have a duration of 2 hours to solve these questions. JNVST exam will be conducted in offline mode through the OMR sheet. This year, NVS is conducting class 6 exam in two phases: I and II. Note: A single test booklet will be given to each candidate which will comprise of all the three sections. Additional time of 30 minutes will be allowed for differently-abled students.

JNVST Class 6 Syllabus 2020

After knowing the JNVST class 6 exam pattern, candidates must check the syllabus of the exam for all the sections. Detailed Navodaya Syllabus 2020 is provided below, refer the same to prepare:

Mental Ability Test (MAT): This is a non-verbal test consisting of questions based on figures and diagrams to assess general mental functioning of the candidates. The section is divided into ten parts having 4 questions each. Total 40 questions will be asked from this section as mentioned in JNVST class 6 exam pattern.

Arithmetic Test(AT): This test is conducted to test the candidate’s arithmetic skills. All the Twenty-five questions of this test are based on the following topics:-

  1. LCM and HCF of numbers

  2. Number & Numeric System

  3. Approximation of Expressions

  4. Percentage and its applications

  5. Decimals and fundamental operations on them

  6. Four Fundamental Operations on the Whole Number

  7. Simplification of Numerical Expressions

  8. Conversion of fractions to decimals and vice-versa

  9. Distance, Time and Speed

  10. Fractional Number and four fundamental operations on them

  11. Applications of the number in measure mass, length, time, money, capacity, etc.

  12. Factors and Multiple Including their properties

  13. Profit and loss.

  14. Simple interest.

  15. Perimeter, area and volume

Examples of AT questions

Language Test (LT):

  • This test is held to test the candidate’s reading comprehension skills.

  • As per JNVST Class 6 exam pattern 2020, It consists of four passages, including five questions each.

  • All students need to read the passage and choose the answer from the given passage.

JNVST class 6 - Method of recording answers

  • Candidates need to fill their roll number in the OMR sheet carefully as mentioned in JNVST class 6 admit card.

  • A separate answer sheet is provided to candidates. They are required to mark their answers at an appropriate place on the sheet.

  • Candidates must bring their blue/black ballpoint to mark the answers on OMR sheet. Use of pencil is strictly not allowed.

  • Candidates have to opt one answer from four options. Candidates must select the correct answer and mark the correct corresponding number given against each answer on the sheet.

  • No changes in the darkened answer are allowed.

  • As provided in JNVST class 6 exam pattern, 1.25 marks are given for every correct answer and there is no negative marking.

Besides the JNVST 6th class Exam Patten, candidates should also check the available language for the examination in their state. They will have to choose the language examination to attempt.
