ICSE 10th Exam Pattern 2023 - The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has released the latest ICSE 10th exam pattern 2023. CISCE will conduct the ICSE 10th exams in annual examination format for the current academic year 2022-23. ICSE 10th exams are expected to be conducted in March 2023.

As per the latest ICSE class 10 exam pattern 2023, the marking scheme for major subjects will be 80% for written exam and 20% for internal assessment/ project work. ICSE 10th Exam Pattern 2022-23
All the candidates who are going to appear in the CISCE 10th exams 2023 will have to opt for a minimum of six subjects.
Group I (Compulsory) - The percentage of internal examination will carry 80 marks and 20 marks will be for internal assessment. The subjects in Group 1 are as follows:
English
A second language
History, Civics and Geography
Group II - Students will be required to select minimum 2 and maximum 3 subjects from this group. Group 2 incorporates the following subjects:
Mathematics
Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology)
Economics
Commercial Studies
A Modern Foreign Language
A Classical Language
Environmental Science
Group III - Students will be required to opt for 1 subject out of the given options.The marking scheme for the subject chosen from this particular group will be 50% for the external paper and 50% for the internal assessment. The subjects incorporated in group 3 are as follows:

Sanskrit as a Second Language (Group I) and Sanskrit as a Classical Language (Group II).

Environmental Science (Group II) and Environmental Applications (Group III).
Candidates opting for Modern Foreign Language in any of the three groups cannot opt for the same language in other two groups.
ICSE 10th Exam Pattern 2023 - Group I
As stated above, subjects incorporated in this group are compulsory subjects. Every student appearing in the ICSE examination 2023 will have to study these subjects. Refer to the table given below to know the subject wise exam pattern and marks allotment for the same.
