NTSE Application Form 2019 – State/UTs have released the NTSE application form from the first week of August 2018 in the online mode. Students can also collect the offline NTSE application form from the Liaison Officer or from their respective schools. The NTSE registration fee, as well as the last date to submit the filled application form, will vary from state to state.

Candidates will be required to submit the completely filled NTSE application form in the offline mode to their respective schools after getting it certified by the Principal. Candidates can check all the information about NTSE, including application dates, how to fill and submit the NTSE application form on this page below.

NTSE is a two-tier examination conducted by NCERT for awarding scholarships to talented candidates who qualify the examinations. The stage 1 exam of NTSE 2019 is conducted at state level by 36 States and UTs of India while NTSE stage 2 exam is conducted by NCERT at the national level for candidates who qualified NTSE Stage 1.

NTSE Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria before filling the application form of NTSE 2019. A candidate who does not satisfy the given eligibility criteria will not be considered for the admission process. Given below is the eligibility criteria for NTSE 2019.

  • Student must be appearing for class 10 examination from a recognised school.
  • Students who have applied for class 10 through open learning can appear for the NTSE exam.
  • Candidates must be less than 18 years of age.
  • All standards from class 1 to class 10 must be cleared. 

How to fill NTSE Application Form

  • The application form of NTSE is made available by states and UTs through the official website or through the Liaison Officer of each state.

  • Even though candidates can obtain the application form in online or offline mode, the application form can be submitted in offline mode only.

  • Candidates are required to remit an application fee (if applicable in the state) for NTSE along with the application form.

  • Candidates need not send the NTSE application form 2019 to the official address of NCERT.

  • Candidates are not required to apply for stage 2 of NTSE 2019 as NTSE application is a one-step application process.

     

Steps to Obtain NTSE Application Form

Candidates can obtain the NTSE application form online or offline to apply for the two-tier exam as mentioned below -

  1. Obtain Application Form –Download the application form of NTSE 2019 from the official website or can obtain it from the liaison officer of their state.

  2. Filling up the application –Candidates need to fill up the application form in their own handwriting as per the instructions and affix their recent photograph along with signature at the space provided on the NTSE 2019 application form. They have to enter the following details in the application form candidates name, mother's name, father's name, caste category, and postal address among others.

  3. Payment of application fee –Candidates need to remit the application fee (if specified by the state/UT exam conducting body).

  4. Application form submission –The NTSE application form 2019 needs to be submitted in offline mode at their school. Candidates must ensure that the application form of NTSE 2019 has been filled and attached with required documents as per the instructions only.

NTSE 2019 Preparation

Candidates must go through the syllabus and practice as many NTSE sample papers as possible. These will make them familiar with the exam pattern, marking scheme and type of questions frequently asked in the exam. Candidates should also get their queries solved by teachers or mentors as soon as possible so that they build on strong concepts.
