NTSE Application Form 2020– The registration forms of NTSE Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, and others have been released online/offline mode. The last date to submit NTSE 2020 application form has been extended for Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and some other states. Class 10 students can submit the NTSE application form 2020 through their respective schools before the last date. It is mandatory for students to submit or upload certain documents with the NTSE 2020 application form. All the documents should be duly attested by the Principal of the School. The documents are as mentioned below:
Candidates can obtain the NTSE 2020 application form from the official website of the state. Students who meet the eligibility criteria and wish to fill the NTSE stage 1 application form just click on their respective state in the table given above to avail the same. For online NTSE registration 2020, candidates must upload documents attested by their Principal and for offline, they must attach the same and submit at the school. The steps to fill the NTSE 2020 application form, follow the given steps.
Step-1- Visit the SCERT website of respective state/UTs or click on the links above
Step-2- Select the NTSE section available on the home page and click on NTSE 2019-20 application form
Step-3- Enter the details in online NTSE form such as Student Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Caster, Mobile Number, Academic Details, Parental Income and more.
Step-4- Upload the scanned photograph and signature images.
Step-5- Pay the application fee (if applicable in the state) through online mode
Step-6- Download the filled-in NTSE application form and submit at the school. After reviewing the applications, the Head/ Principal of the School will send the forms to the State Liaison Office.

Candidates can follow the below-given steps to fill the offline NTSE 2020 application form.
Step 1- Obtain Application Form – Download the NTSE registration form from the official website or obtain it from the liaison officer or from the school.
Step 2- Filling up the application- Fill up the NTSE application form for stage 1 in their own handwriting as per the instructions. Affix a recent photograph along with signature at the space provided on the NTSE form 2020. Enter the following details in the application form - candidates' name, mother's name, father's name, caste category, and postal address etc.
Step 3- Payment of application fee if applicable – Pay the application fee (if specified by the state/UT exam conducting body).
Step 4- Application form submission – Students should submit the NTSE form in offline mode at their respective schools. Candidates must ensure that the application form of NTSE has been filled and attached with the required documents as per the instructions only.
Based on the mentioned reservation norms, NTSE scholarships will be awarded to eligible students. Besides, the reservation criteria are considered to release the final NTSE result and merit-

Students have to fill their exam centre preferences in the NTSE application form 2020. The exam authority will allot the nearest examination centre to the students based on their preference. The complete address of the examination centre will be mentioned on the NTSE admit card. Stage 1 & stage 2 exam will be conducted at different examination centres. NCERT will not entertain any request for change of the exam centre. Students should carefully fill the details of their preference in the NTSE form.

The NTSE 2020 application form for stage 1 is generally available in a downloadable format from the respctive SCERT website. In some states, they are available through the school. However, the liason officer in each state will have the forms. The table above in this article mentions this detail.
No. NTSE forms available online means only for download. Candidates have to download them first, fill details, get it attested by their principals and generally submit it to the school itself unless specified by the authorities.
Class 10 students who have scored at least 60% in their class 9 can apply. This is applicable to both state level and national level NTSE exam.
The exam centres for the stage 1 is not given by the authorities. However, the centre allotted is generally the closet to the residence of the student. The stage 2 exam centres of NTSE are given in the official brochure but each state has one or two exam centres which are fixed. Students must be prepared to appear for the exam from there and make the ncessary arrangements.
Since NTSE fees are not defined by the authorities, many states charge a nominal fee and some dont. The details are given in this article for candidates to refer to. There is no fee for NTSE stage 2.
There is no registration or application for the NTSE stage 2. This is because all students who have qualified in stage 1 are eligible to appear for stage 2 and hence they will be considered on the basis of their stage 1 application forms which have all their details.
Since NTSE is a national level exam, only the OBC categories mentioned in the central list will be eligible. The state level OBC candidature may not be considered. It is advisable therefore to check the central list of OBCs.
The head of the school/ Principal is the authorized person to attest the application form and other documents. This is mandatory even if the application is downloaded. Candidates must ensure this before submitting the application form of NTSE.

Indians abroad are exempted from stage 1. They can directly apply for stage 2. They must apply through the head of the school they are studying in and their NTSE application must reach before December 31 of the academic year. Also they will have to appear for the exam in India as there is no provision for conducting the exam abroad.
There is no provision to change the exam centre unless there is an unavoidable contigency like the transfer of the parents of the candidates. A written request must be sent to NCERT within 15 days of the availability of the E-Admit Card and prior to at least 21 days of the examination. In such cases only the English medium test booklet shall be provided to the candidate at the changed centre.
