The minimum qualifying marks needed for a general category candidate is 40% per subject. For obc category as well, it is 40%. And for other reserved categories like SC/ST/PH ,etc. the qualifying minimum cutoffs is 32%.
So overall getting around 120-130-150 marks and above depending on the competition is a safer score.
Best wishes. Thank-you.
Ntse has 2 stages.
Stage I: State level
Stage II: National level.
The making scheme for both is 1 mark for every correct answer and there is no negative marking. However, the overall score is counted as the no. Of students who answer the exam to the no. Of students qualifying.
200 is the maximum marks achievable and getting 177 has you a good chance of qualifying giving you approximately 87% which is really good but your rank will be determined by the total number of students and the total number of qualifying applicants.
