i am confused that will i manage my school with coaching with neet preparation in hostel or not? and is it right for me .Actually i am in class 11 right now and i want to know about these things please answer me.

Dear Misti,

Your confusion is faced by many medical aspirants who leave their homes to pursue NEET preparation and live in hostels. To answer your question, I first need to know whether you are planning to move to a different city (such as Kota) to enroll in a coaching institute. If you join a coaching institute in your home town, you may not need to live in a hostel. This will save you from the huge cost (mental, physical, emotional and financial) that is involved in living away from home. If you are moving to a different city, you will have to live in a hostel which will involve some adjustments. If you have no specific dietary or physical requirements, the adjustment might be easier. You may also need to decide whether you want to stay alone in a single seater or live with a roommate and if so, how many? The quality of food and water, infrastructure, distance from your coaching institute, safety etc will have to be kept in mind while selecting a good hostel room for you. If you do manage to get a good room (and roommate), you will find that living in a hostel can actually aid your studies and help you to concentrate better.

Please think carefully! This is a big decision and should be taken after a lot of research and deliberations.

can a pcb student get admission in iisc through kvpy/neet?

Vishwathiga J 27th Jun, 2022

Dear aspirant,

Yes, PCB student can get admission into  IISc via KVPY / NEET. In class 12 KVPY (KVPY SX) you will get to choose  PCB for section I and two subjects that you are comfortable with for section 2. In class 11 (KVPY SA) you will have to give all four subjects (PCMB). SO KVPY SX is a good option for a PCB student.

You will have to get a rank below 250 in KVPY to get admission into IISc and a rank below 300 in NEET. ( For general category)

Hope this helps.
