Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Form 2023 - Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will release the KV admission form for Class 1 in February 2023. The Kendriya Vidyalaya admission form 2022-23 for class 1 will be available online on kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. However, the KV registration form 2022 for class 2 onwards will be conducted offline.
Students or their parents have to submit all required documents along with the Kendriya Vidyalaya admission form 2023 to get KV admissions 2023 in Class 1 and above. KV Admission Form 2022 - Eligibility Conditions
Students must check the KVS admission eligibility criteria before applying for the admission. The eligibility criteria for admission into KVS is given below:
Indian Nationals children can apply for KVS admission 2023-24.
The Foreign Nationals children who are located in India due to any reason are also eligible for KVS admission 2023-24.
Age Limit for KV Admission 2023-24
A student must attain the age of 6 years old as on 31st March in the academic year in which admission is sought for Class I. (Child born on 1st April should also be considered.)
Kendriya Vidyalaya provides 2 years of relaxation in the maximum age limit for differently-abled students.
There are no age restrictions to get admission in classes 11th and 12th.

How to fill Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Form 2023 online?
Below, we have mentioned some of the simple steps to fill the KV admission form 2023 for class 1.
Go to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan’s official website, kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in.
Click on the ‘New Registration’.
Fill in the asked details such as student's name, Parents/Guardian's name, Date of Birth, address, etc
Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
After registering successfully, a unique login code will be provided.
Select the KV's from the given list of schools. You can choose up to 3 schools from the given list.
Now fill in the remaining details of the KV application form 2023.
Upload the required documents such as the student's photograph, birth certificate, etc.
Submit the admission form and click on the preview tab.
Check all the details carefully and make sure all details are mentioned correctly before the final submission of the KVS admission form 2022-23.
Once the application form is submitted successfully, a unique application submission code will be assigned, which is different from the login code.
The application will not be submitted until the application submission code is generated from the online admission portal. Make sure to keep the application code carefully, as this will be needed during admission.

A digital photograph or scanned photograph of the student applying for admission (JPEG file of size at most 256KB)
A scanned copy of the child’s birth certificate
Scanned copy of Caste certificate (if seeking reservation under quota system)
Transfer details of parent/grandparent whose service credentials will be used in the application.
Service certificate of employee (if applicable)
Proof of the relationship of child’s parents with grandparents
A certificate of retirement for uniformed Defence employees.
Disability certificate from a civil surgeon or rehabilitation centre (if required). The candidate can also be accepted without a certificate if the principal can visually see the handicap of the child.
How to fill in Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Form 2023 for class 2 onwards?
The process of filling KVS admission form for Class 2 and above is quite different. Follow the below-given steps to avoid any inconvenience.
Students and parents have to collect KV admission form 2023 for class 2 and above from the office of the respective KV school.
Fill out the Kendriya Vidyalaya application form 2023 very carefully and neatly.
Attach all the necessary documents required for KV admission along with a photograph of the student.
Now submit the Kendriya Vidyalaya admission 2023 form in the respective school premises.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2023 for Class 1
The admission will be done for 40 seats per section of class 1st.
Out of the total number of available seats for fresh admission, 25% seats are reserved for Right To Education, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 27% seats are reserved for OBC-NCL.
The fresh admissions will be given in the following sequence:
First Lot: 10 seats out of 40 seats per section will be filled as per RTE Provisions through a lottery system from all applications of SC/ST/EWS/BPL/OBC.
Second Lot: Lottery system for differently-abled students of SC/ST/OBCNCL/Unreserved through Priority Category.
Third Lot: The remaining seats will be filled as per the existing Priority category system of category 1 and 2.
Fourth lot: The remaining seats reserved for SC/ST/OBC-NCL will be available for admission to SC/ST/OBC-NCL students under the order of Priority of Category.
Fifth Lot: If any seat remains vacant, then priority category 3 onwards will be taken into consideration.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Process for class 2nd to 8th
KVS doesn’t conduct any admission test for classes from 2nd to 8th.
The admission will be granted on the priority category system.
If the number of seats available is less than the number of applications then the lottery system will be followed in each category including single girl child quota (Class VI onwards).
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Form 2022-23 for Class 9
There will be a test for admission in class 9th.
Students have to appear for a single paper consisting of Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science and Science.
The test duration will be 3 hours and the test will be a total of 100 marks.
A student has to secure a minimum of 33% marks to qualify for admission.
Students of the SC/ST/PH category will be eligible for admission by scoring 25% in aggregate.
Based on the performance in the test, a merit list will be prepared.
KV admission form for class 11 - Admission Process
Depending on the marks obtained by a student in class 10 the admission in various streams like Science, Commerce, and Arts in class 11th will be done. Hence, the KV admission form for class 11 will be available after the announcement of the Class 10 result.
Below, we have mentioned the minimum marks required to get admission in various streams.
Science Stream: A minimum of 60% Marks in all subjects.
Commerce: A minimum of 55% Marks in all subjects.
Humanities Stream: All students of KV if declared passed in the 10th exam.
Admission to the non-KV students will depend upon the availability of seats after admitting neighbouring KV students.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Form 2022-23 - Reservation of seats
The KVS also offers reservation for different category students such as Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribes, Differently abled students, and Economically weaker sections of society (EWS). The reservation percentage is mentioned in the table below.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan admissions are done on the basis of the Priority category system as mentioned below.
Children of (Transferable, and non-transferable)
Central government employees, and ex-servicemen.
Employees of autonomous bodies, public sector undertaking or Institute of Higher Learning of the Government of India.
State government employees.
Employees of autonomous bodies / public sector undertaking of the Government of respective state.
Children of any other category and foreign national officials.
Note: In case two or more students having the same category for a seat then preference will be decided on the basis of the number of transfers of the parents in the last 7 years.
