KV Admission Form 2020 - Eligibility Conditions
- A student must attain the age of 5 as on March 31, 2020, to fill the Kendriya Vidyalaya admission form 2020-21 for class 1.
- Kendriya Vidyalaya provides 2 years of relaxation in maximum age limit for differently-abled students.
- There are no age restrictions to get admission class 11th and 12th.

How to fill Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Form 2020 online?
Below is the step by step guidelines given to fill the KV admission form 2020 for class 1.
Step 1 - Visit the official website of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in.
Step 2 - Now click on the ‘New Registration’.
Step 3 - Fill the required details such as student's name, Parents/ Guardians name, Date of Birth, address, etc and click on the ‘submit’ button.
Step 4 - After successful registration, a unique login code’ will be provided.
Step 4 - Select the KV's from the given list of schools. Students must keep in mind that they can choose up to 3 schools from the given list.
Step 5 - Now fill the remaining details of the KV application form 2020 and upload the required documents such as student's photograph, birth certificate, etc.
Step 6 - Submit the admission form and click on the preview tab. Check all the details carefully before the final submission of the admission form.
Step 7 - Once the application form is submitted successfully, a unique Application Submission Code will be assigned, which is different from the Login Code.
This must be noted that the application will not be submitted until the Application submission code is assigned from the online admission portal. This application code must be kept carefully, as this will be needed during admission.

- A digital photograph or scanned photograph of the student applying for admission (JPEG file of size at most 256KB)
- A scanned copy of the child’s birth certificate
- Scanned copy of Caste certificate (if seeking reservation under quota system)

- EWS/BPL certificate
- Service certificate of employee (if applicable)
- Proof of the relationship of child’s parents with grandparents
- A certificate of retirement for uniformed Defence employees.
- Disability certificate from a civil surgeon or rehabilitation centre (if required). The candidate can be also accepted without a certificate if the handicap of the child can be visually seen by the principal.

Step 1- The KV admission form 2020-21 for class 2 and above will be available at the office of every KV school. Students/parents can collect it from the school authority.
Step 2 - Fill the Kendriya Vidyalaya application form 2020 very carefully.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2020 for Class 1
There will be 40 seats per section for admission in class 1st.
Out of the total number of available seats of fresh admission, 25% seats are reserved for Right To Education, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 27% seats are reserved for OBC-NCL.
The fresh admissions will be given in the following sequence:
First Lot: 10 seats out of 40 seats per section will be filled as per RTE Provisions through a lottery system from all applications of SC/ST/EWS/BPL/OBC.
Second Lot: Lottery system for differently-abled students of SC/ST/OBCNCL/Unreserved through Priority Category.
Third Lot: The remaining seats will be filled as per the existing Priority category system of category 1 and 2.
Fourth lot: The remaining seats of reserved for SC/ST/OBC-NCL will be available for admission to SC/ST/OBC-NCL students under the order of Priority of Category.
Fifth Lot: If any seat remains vacant, then priority category 3 onwards will be taken into consideration.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Process for class 2nd to 8th
There will be no admission test for class 2nd to 8th.
The admission will be granted on the priority category system.
If the number of applications are more than the number of seats available then lottery system will be followed in each category including single girl child quota (Class VI onwards).
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Form 2020 for Class 9
KV will conduct an admission test for the admissions in class 9th.
There will be a single paper comprised of Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science and Science.
The test duration will be 3 hours and the test will be a total of 100 marks.
A student has to secure a minimum of 33% marks to qualify for admission.
Students of the SC/ST/PH category will be eligible for admission by scoring 25% in aggregate.
Based on the performance in that test, a merit list will be prepared.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Form 2020 - Class 11 Admission Process
The admission in various streams like Science, Commerce, and Arts in class 11th will entirely depend upon the marks of students in class 10th.
Kendriya Vidyalaya admission form for class 11th will be available after the announcement of Class 10 result.
Below are the minimum marks required to get admission in various streams.
1. Science Stream: A minimum of 60% Marks in all subjects.
2. Commerce: A minimum of 55% Marks in all subjects.
3. Humanities Stream: All students of KV if declared passed in the 10th exam.
Admission to the non-KV students will depend upon the availability of seats after admitting neighbour KV students.

KV Admission Form 2020-21 - Priority Category System
The KVS admissions are done on the basis of the Priority category system mentioned below.
1st priority - children of transferable and non-transferable central government personnel or ex-servicemen. Children of foreign national officials are also on the first priority.
2nd priority - children of transferable and non-transferable personnel of Autonomous Bodies, Public sector undertaking or Institute of Higher Learning of the Government of India.
3rd priority: children of transferable and non-transferable State Government personnel.
4th priority: children of transferable and non-transferable personnel of Autonomous Bodies, Public sector undertaking or Institute of Higher Learning of the State Governments.
5th priority: children from any other category, including the children of foreign nationals who are located in India due to their work or for any personal reasons. These candidates will be considered only if there is no Indian National candidate waitlisted for admission.
