JNVST Exam 2027: Dates, Syllabus, Pattern, Admit Card, Result

• The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will announce the JNV Class 6 results in March/April 2027.
• The Samiti will declare the JNVST Class 9 results in April 2027.
• The Class 11 LEST results will be announced in May 2027.
• The result will be published in the form of a selection list of candidates in PDF format. JNVST result 2027 will consist of a candidate’s name, roll number, category, gender, district and area, date of birth, etc.  

Students have to go through the selection list to check their names on the list. Candidates have to download the PDF file and keep it safe till the admission process concludes. 

Steps to check the JNVST result 2027

1. Visit the official website at navodaya.gov.in.
2. Open the Class 6 or 9 result link.
3. Enter the roll number in the blank field.
4. Click on the submit button, and the NVS result 2027 will be shown on the screen. 

Selected candidates have to submit the given documents to complete the admission process after the result announcement.

JNVST 2027 Admission Process after Results

• After the declaration of JNVST results 2027, the parents of selected students have to download the forms, which will be submitted for verification of documents. 
• The form will be available online on the school’s official website. 
• Fill in the required details, paste recent passport-sized photographs and attach Xerox copies of the required documents with the form. 
• Special/reserved category candidates have to attach proof of reservation/ disability along with the form and submit it to the school’s principal before the deadline.
• After this, a student is granted admission to their respective Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.

Class 6

To apply for JNVST Class 6th Admission 2027, students have to fulfil the eligibility criteria- 

• Only students belonging to the district where the particular Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located are eligible to apply for admission.
• Candidates seeking admission must not have been born before May 1, 2015, and after July 31, 2017 (Both dates are inclusive).
• Students applying for admission to Class VI via JNVST 2027 must be currently enrolled in Class V in a government, government-aided/ any other recognised school or pursuing a ‘B’ certificate competency course of the National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district.
• Students claiming admission under the rural quota must have studied from classes 3 to 5 in a government/government-aided/ recognized school located in a rural area. 
• The candidate who has not been promoted and admitted to class V before July 31 is not eligible to apply.
• A candidate is eligible to appear for JNVST only once.

Class 9

Students should satisfy the JNVST Class 9 eligibility criteria before filling out the application form: 

• Candidates studying in class 8 during the current academic session in government/government-recognised schools are eligible to apply for JNV Class 9 admission.
• Applicants must be studying in a school in the same district where the particular Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is functioning and where admission is sought.
• Students appearing for JNVST must pass the final exam of Class 8 at the time of admission.
• Students seeking admission to JNV class 9 must be between 11 and 15 years of age. There is no age relaxation for the reserved category; students must be born between May 1, 2012, and April 30, 2014 (both days inclusive).

Class 6

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has started the application process for the JNVST Class 6 exam for the 2027-28 academic year on July 6, 2026. The registration window will close on July 31, 2026. There is no application fee for the same. Students can apply for the JNVST 2027 exam by visiting the official website at navodaya.gov.in and cbseitms.in.  

How to fill the JNVST Class 6 Application Form 2027?

• Visit the official link at cbseitms.rcil.gov.in/nvs/Index/Registration.
• Click on the "Class 6" registration link.
• Enter all the details in the NVS Class 6 Application Form 2027.
• Upload documents as asked in the specified format.
• Now, preview the form and submit it.
• Take a printout of the form for future reference.

Students who appear for the JNVST 2027 and get shortlisted for the document verification round need to produce proof of residence, age, academic qualification, etc., during the verification round.

Class 9

Students can submit the JNVST Class 9 admission form in online mode. The registration window for the JNVST Class 9 will close in October 2026. The online correction window for the application form will be opened for students. The form needs to be submitted after reviewing all the details furnished, along with the required documents. Alongside, upload the recent passport-sized photograph while filling out the JNVST 2027 application form for Class IX. Students can follow the steps given below to fill out the JNV Class 9th admission form 2027:

• Step 1: Visit the official website at nvsadmissionclassnine.in. Click on the link to fill out the JNVST Class 9 application form 2027.
• Step 2: Enter all the personal details in the NVS Class 6 application form 2027 and upload your passport-size photo in the provided space. 
• Step 3: Enter academic details in the JNVST admission form 2027.
• Step 4: Upload the candidate's and parents' signatures in the JNVST 2027 form. 
• Step 5: After filling out the form, preview the details filled out and submit it. 
• Step 6: Take a printout of the filled JNVST 2027 application form and retain it for future reference.

Class 6

The JNVST Exam Pattern 2027 for Class 6 consists of information about the question paper, such as sections covered, distribution of marks, total marks, weightage per section and so on. 

• As per the JNVST 2027 exam pattern, there will be three sections for the Class 6 exam.
• There will be no negative marking. 
• The exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode.
• The JNVST 2027 test duration is 2 hours or 160 minutes.
• All the questions in the JNVST 2027 exam will be multiple-choice questions. 
• The questions will be asked from the Mental Ability Test, Arithmetic Test, and Language Test

JNVST 2027 for Class VI Exam Pattern

Class 9

• As per the JNVST Class 9 exam pattern 2027, the exam will be held for 2 and a half hours. 
• Divyang category students or students with special needs will be allowed 30 minutes extra in the exam. 
• OMR sheets will be provided for answering the 1-mark multiple-choice questions.
• The medium of the JNVST 2027 exam will be English/Hindi. 
• The difficulty level of the paper will be of the 8th standard syllabus. 

JNVST Class 9 Exam Pattern 2027

1. Since most of the questions asked in JNVST Class 6th 2025 will be from the Mental Ability Test (MAT), candidates are advised to prepare well for the MAT section. Preparing for the JNVST MAT section doesn't require memorising facts. It is one of the highest-scoring sections in the JNVST exam 2025. There are several mental ability tests available online, and candidates can take them to enhance their analytical ability and understanding.

2. The Arithmetic Test (AT) tests the student's basic knowledge of arithmetic. Students must go through the JNVST 2024-25 syllabus for class VI for this section. They need to ensure that they cover all topics given in the syllabus. Candidates can make notes of formulas they prepare and come across to revise later. Preparing notes will make the student revision more effective. 

3. The language tests a student's grammar and writing skills. Besides, there will be three passages from which questions will be asked. Students should read more relevant books to enhance their reading skills and go through the best books for grammar and composition. For example, English Grammar and Composition by Wren & Martin. To analyze what they have already learned, candidates can take language tests available online.

4. Candidates can practice the JNVST 2025 sample papers and the previous year's question papers. They can revise all they have learned to the current academic standard which will help them build on whatever they have already learned. In case of any difficulty regarding any topic, candidates can get in touch with their teachers.

JNVST 2025 exam for Class 9 comprises questions from Mathematics, General Science, English and Hindi. Candidates can follow the below preparation tips to get good scores in the JNVST 2025 entrance test admission:

• Tip 1-  Make short notes of important concepts and formulas- Creating handwritten notes will help candidates understand the concept better. It also helps in remembering the formulas. 
• Tip 2- Follow the Right and Relevant Books- Students should cover the entire JNVST 2025 syllabus from NCERT Class 8 books. They can take the help of reference books and model papers to prepare efficiently 
• Tip 3- Revision is the key to success. Hence, students must revise all that they have learned for the JNVST exam 2025.
• Tip 4- Download and solve the JNVST question papers and sample papers. The JNVST 2025 sample papers are available online free of cost. Solving the last year's papers will help the students understand the difficulty level of the exam and they can prepare well.
• Tip 5- Pay attention to topics such as rational numbers, squares and squares roots, cubes and cube roots and exponents and powers to prepare for Maths.
• Tip 6- The other important section for JNVST 2025 is General Science. This section carries 35 marks. Students should focus more on living/ non-living, cell structure and function, Solar System, Light, Sound, and reproduction topics. 
• Tip 7- For English, students are advised to do a lot of reading and also get the English grammar concepts clear. The questions will be asked from unseen passages, word and sentence structure, spelling and jumbled word sections. Students are advised to follow English grammar and comprehension by Wren and Martin. The book will be of great help to students as it covers all the English grammar and comprehension topics. The same applies to the Hindi language section. 

Class 6

The NVS Samiti will release the JNVST admit card 2027 for Class VI in November 2026. Students can download the JNVST 6th hall ticket from the official website of the NVS.

The JNVST 2027 admit card comprises details such as information about the candidate, the schedule of the exam, and the venue of the test. 

How to download the JNVST Class 6 Admit Card 2027?

1. Visit the official website at navodaya.gov.in.
2. Click on the "Class 6" NVS admit card link 2027.
3. Enter the registration number and password.
4. Click on the "Submit" button, and the Navodaya Class 6 admit card 2027 will appear on the screen.
5. Take a printout of the same to use later.

Students are advised to read all the instructions given on the JNVST 2027 admit card to avoid hassles on the day of the JNVST 2027 exam. No student will be allowed to appear for the exam upon failing to produce the admit card in front of the invigilator.

Class 9

• The NVS 2027 admit card for Class 9 admission will be released in January 2027.
• Candidates who submit the application form successfully can download the JNVST admit card 2027 for Class 9 in online mode.
• Students can download the admit card using their login credentials. 
• JNVST 2027 hall ticket will comprise details like the test taker’s name, roll number, exam date and time, and details about the exam venue. 
• The JNVST examination 2027 authority does not allow candidates who fail to produce a JNVST 2027 admit card to appear for the exam. It is, therefore, important for candidates to carry the admit card along with them on exam day. 
• Along with the JNVST Class 9 admit card 2027, students are also required to carry a valid proof of identity to the examination hall.

The NVS will release the JNVST answer key for Class VI in March 2027, while the Class IX answer key will be released in April 2027. Students can visit the official website of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti to access and download the JNVST Class VI answer key and NVS Class IX answer key. 

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will release the JNVST Class VI cut-off list in March/April 2027. The Class IX cutoff list will be released in March 2027. Students who clear the Navodaya cut-off marks 2027 will get their names in the final selection list.
