NMMS Application Form 2020 - SCERTs will release the state-wise application forms of NMMS exam from July 15, 2020, tentatively. Students of Class 8 whose annual parental income is less than Rs. 1,50,000 will be eligible for the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMS). To complete the NMMS application process, students will need their caste and income certificate and supposed to pay the application fee (if any). NMMS Scholarship application will be available in online and offline mode. Students need to note that the exam authority will reject the NMMS 2020 application form after the last date. The NMMS 2020 application form of ineligible students will be rejected before intimation. Therefore, students must read the eligibility and instructions carefully before filling the NMMS application form 2020. NMMS exams 2020 will be conducted state-wise on November 2, 3 & 17, 2020 and December 1, 8 and 22, 2020, tentatively. Students must obtain 55% marks (5% relaxation for reserved category) in Class 8th & 9th.
In Class X board, awardees must obtain a minimum of 60% marks (5% relaxation for reserved category)
Who is not eligible to apply?
1. Students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sainik schools.
2. Students studying in residential schools run by state government institutions with facilities like boarding, lodging and education.
3. Students pursuing their studies in private schools.
Students will be able to submit an online NMMS 2020 application form through the National Scholarship Portal. They need to submit the filled hard copy of the forms to the authorities of their schools. The last date to submit the duly filled online NMMS application form 2020 through NSP is October 15, 2020, tentatively. Students can also download the NMMS application form from the official website of SCERTs or collect the same from their respective schools. Follow the instructions mentioned below to submit the NMMS Application form 2020:
Step-1- Go to the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) website, scholarships.gov.in and register as a new user by filling up the specified details like date of birth, name, email ID and more.
Step-2- A computer-generated OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to the respective mobile number for verification purpose. Enter the OTP and start filling up the details.
Step-3- Enter the educational details, bank details and aadhar number in the NMMS application form 2020.
Step-4- Upload the scanned images of required documents such as Domicile, Income proof, Caste Certificate and others in the specified size and format.
Step-5- Recheck the details twice and submit the NMMS application form. The officials add the status of the application forms online.
Students can follow the steps mentioned below to apply for NMMS in the offline mode.
Obtain the NMMS 2020 application form in offline mode from the respective schools.
Take a print of the NMMS application form 2020 and fill the details carefully in capital letters. Ensure that the letters must be clearly visible and avoid overwriting.
Now, you need to attach the duly attested copies of the relevant documents such as State domicile, income proof, caste certificate, mark sheets and submit the NMMS application form 2020 to the head of the Institute/School.
Students whose application forms are accepted will be able to collect the NMMS admit card from their respective schools, a few days before the NMMS exam.
While filling the NMMS 2020 application form, students need to attach a few relevant documents. All the documents need to be attested by the parents and the respective principal of the school. Check the necessary documents that must be attached with the NMMS application form 2020.

As per the exam conducting body, students must keep a few things in mind while filling the NMMS application form.
Use only a blue or black ballpoint pen to fill the information in the NMMS 2020 application form.

Students must note that no application form will be accepted after the last date in any condition.

Students must submit an application fee of Rs. 50/100 (if applicable) and affiliation fees of Rs. 200/- (if applicable) per year and institution. The NMMS application differs for different states. The NMMS result for all the states will be declared online on different dates of February/ March 2020. SCERT of particular state and UT will also release results of NMMS 2020 exam on its scheduled date that will be announced with the NMMS exam 2020 notification. The result will be made available online. Students will have to enter their roll number and school code in the login window to get access to the result. Some of the participating states release NMMS 2020 results in the form of merit lists. The result will include information such as the student’s name, roll number, section-wise score etc.

National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Examination is a Scholarship examination conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
