The application form of NMMS is currently available for states including Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Puducherry, and Tripura. To apply for NMMS, candidates must have cleared class 7 with at least 55%. NMMS application form 2018 will be available online as well as offline. Candidates can download the form or obtain it from the Nodal Officer appointed in each state and UT and submit it offline to their respective schools. Students enrolled in class VIII

Minimum qualifying marks in class VII and VIII

55% (50% for reserved categories)

Annual parental income

Should not be more than Rs. 1,50,000

Requirements for continuation of scholarship

  • Candidates must secure 55% (50% for reserved categories) in each final exam

  • One must obtain 60% (55% for reserved categories) in the class 10th Board

Who are not eligible to apply?

 

1. Students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sainik schools

 

 

2. Students studying in residential schools run by state government institutions with facilities like boarding, lodging and education

 

3. Students pursuing their studies in private schools

How to apply for NMMS Scholarship

 

Notifications for application and the availability of application forms are released every year online and in leading newspapers in July last week/ August. Students will also be informed about the availability of application forms by the authorities of their schools. The application dates and the form can vary from one state to another. In some cases, students have to download the form and fill it offline while for states such as Odisha, NMMS application form 2018 has to be filled online and then downloaded. In any case, NMMS 2018 application form has to be submitted offline along with necessary documents to the school in which a student is studying. Candidates whose forms are accepted will be able to collect the admit cards from their respective schools, a few days before the exam. Follow the below given instructions to submit the form successfully:

  • Even though candidates can obtain the application form in online or offline mode, the application form can be submitted in offline mode only.
  • Candidates are required to remit an application fee of Rs.100 and affiliation fees of Rs. 200/- (if applicable) per year per institution.
