NMMS Application Form 2020 - SCERTs will release the state-wise application forms of NMMS exam from July 15, 2020, tentatively. Students of Class 8 whose annual parental income is less than Rs. 1,50,000 will be eligible for the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMS). To complete the NMMS application process, students will need their caste and income certificate and supposed to pay the application fee (if any). NMMS Scholarship application will be available in online and offline mode. Students need to note that the exam authority will reject the NMMS 2020 application form after the last date. The NMMS 2020 application form of ineligible students will be rejected before intimation. Therefore, students must read the eligibility and instructions carefully before filling the NMMS application form 2020. NMMS exams 2020 will be conducted state-wise on November 2, 3 & 17, 2020 and December 1, 8 and 22, 2020, tentatively. Read this article for detailed information on NMMS 2020 application form.

Eligibility conditions

Who can submit the NMMS application form?

Class 8th Students

Minimum qualifying marks in class VII

55% (50% for reserved categories)

Annual parental income

Less than Rs. 1,50,000

Requirements for the continuation of the scholarship

Students must obtain 55% marks (5% relaxation for reserved category) in Class 8th & 9th.

In Class X board, awardees must obtain a minimum of 60% marks (5% relaxation for reserved category)

Who is not eligible to apply?

1. Students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sainik schools.

2. Students studying in residential schools run by state government institutions with facilities like boarding, lodging and education.

3. Students pursuing their studies in private schools.

How to submit the NMMS Application Form 2020 through NSP?

Students will be able to submit an online NMMS 2020 application form through the National Scholarship Portal. They need to submit the filled hard copy of the forms to the authorities of their schools. The last date to submit the duly filled online NMMS application form 2020 through NSP is October 15, 2020, tentatively. Students can also download the NMMS application form from the official website of SCERTs or collect the same from their respective schools. Follow the instructions mentioned below to submit the NMMS Application form 2020:

Steps to download the NMMS Application Form through NSP:

Step-1- Go to the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) website, scholarships.gov.in and register as a new user by filling up the specified details like date of birth, name, email ID and more.

Step-2- A computer-generated OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to the respective mobile number for verification purpose. Enter the OTP and start filling up the details.

Step-3- Enter the educational details, bank details and aadhar number in the NMMS application form 2020.

Step-4- Upload the scanned images of required documents such as Domicile, Income proof, Caste Certificate and others in the specified size and format.

Step-5- Recheck the details twice and submit the NMMS application form. The officials add the status of the application forms online.

How to submit the NMMS Application Form in the Offline mode?

Students can follow the steps mentioned below to apply for NMMS in the offline mode.

  1. Obtain the NMMS 2020 application form in offline mode from the respective schools.

  2. Take a print of the NMMS application form 2020 and fill the details carefully in capital letters. Ensure that the letters must be clearly visible and avoid overwriting.

  3. Now, you need to attach the duly attested copies of the relevant documents such as State domicile, income proof, caste certificate, mark sheets and submit the NMMS application form 2020 to the head of the Institute/School.

  4. Students whose application forms are accepted will be able to collect the NMMS admit card from their respective schools, a few days before the NMMS exam.

NMMS Application Form 2020 - Documents Required

While filling the NMMS 2020 application form, students need to attach a few relevant documents. All the documents need to be attested by the parents and the respective principal of the school. Check the necessary documents that must be attached with the NMMS application form 2020.

  • Two passport size

  • Photocopy of SC/ST Certificate.

  • Photocopy of Report Card of the last promotion examination

  • Income certificate not exceeding Rs. 1,50,000/- from the Competent Authority

  • Disability Status Certificate from the Competent Authority.

NMMS Application Form 2020 - Important Instructions

As per the exam conducting body, students must keep a few things in mind while filling the NMMS application form.

  • Use only a blue or black ballpoint pen to fill the information in the NMMS 2020 application form.

  • Fill in all the details correctly and on the given blanks in CAPITAL LETTERS.

  • Students must note that no application form will be accepted after the last date in any condition.

  • It also must be remembered that the incomplete or incorrect information in NMMS application form 2020 will lead to cancellation of the same.

NMMS Application Fee 2020

Students must submit an application fee of Rs. 50/100 (if applicable) and affiliation fees of Rs. 200/- (if applicable) per year and institution. The NMMS application differs for different states. It must be noted that most of the States do not charge any fee for NMMS application form 2020. Check state-wise fee information below.

Hello sir,

The NMMS result for all the states will be declared online on different dates of February/ March 2020. SCERT of particular state and UT will also release results of NMMS 2020 exam on its scheduled date that will be announced with the NMMS exam 2020 notification. The result will be made available online. Students will have to enter their roll number and school code in the login window to get access to the result. Some of the participating states release NMMS 2020 results in the form of merit lists. The result will include information such as the student’s name, roll number, section-wise score etc.

Hello Mahesh,

National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Examination is a Scholarship examination conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).

The NMMS Results for 2019-2020 is scheduled to be declared by the last week of February. This is however subjected to revision by the board and can be declared any time before the proposed date.

The NMMS 2019 Result will be made available in a .pdf format containing the student's name, school name, roll number, rank, marks scored in MAT and SAT etc.

Director of government examination Andhra Pradesh conduct NMMS exam for class 8 , selected candidates get scholarship of 12000 rupees per annum.
Yes you will be  eligible for getting scholarship if you get qualified the exam as you didn't mention your credential and some more details so that I could judge you  so it is quite difficult to tell .
