HBCSE Exam 2026-27: Date, Eligibility, Admit Card, Result

The answer key for the IOQM 2026-27 exam will be released in online mode. The IOQM exam answer key contains the correct answers to all the questions asked in the exam. The provisional IOQM 2026-27 answer key will be released in September 2026 through the official website, mtai.org.in.

Note: Candidates can calculate their probable score using the IOQM answer key. The official answer key is made available within a week after the exam, but candidates can access the unofficial answer key on the same day, which is released by various renowned coaching institutes. 

Students should note that only eligible students will be allowed to apply for the Mathematical Olympiad 2026-27. If the exam conducting authority finds any ineligible students, then he/she will be disqualified without any further information.

• Students should be born between August 1, 2007 and January 1, 2014.
• Class 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 students are eligible to sit for the IOQM 2026-27 exam. 
• Open-school students can also apply for the exam.

The best-performing students from the RMO (around 900) qualify for the third stage – the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO). 

The INMO is tentatively held on the third Sunday of January at 28 centres across the country.

• Students can directly apply online through the official portal. 
• All Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and Atomic Energy Central Schools may also register as registration centres and may accept to register students from other schools.
• Students need to enter their Name, Date of Birth and school details in the IOQM 2026-27 application form.
• Along with the application form, also pay the fee through offline or online mode.

IOQM Registration Fees:

• IOQM 2026-27 is a 3-hour examination with 30 questions. 10 questions of 2 marks each, 10 questions of 3 marks each and 10 questions of 5 marks each.
• The answer to each question is an integer in the range 00-99. There is no negative marking, and the answers should be marked on an OMR sheet. 
• The Mathematical Olympiad will be held in offline or pen-and-paper mode.
• The question paper is in English and Hindi. 
• IOQM 2026-27 syllabus is broadly equivalent to the senior secondary level (up to and including Class 12th) of CBSE.

Students preparing for the Mathematical Olympiad 2026-27 should follow the below-given smart tip to score good marks.

• Cover all the topics of the IOQM syllabus till June, when registration for the Mathematical Olympiad will commence. 
• Solve at least one previous year's paper of Pre-RMO & RMO daily. It will help students to know the important topics and difficulty levels. Solve as many question papers or sample papers as possible. 
• Ask experts and teachers in case of any doubt. Aspirants should have strong basics to get good marks.
• Take appropriate breaks and regular sleep.
• Eat healthy.

Mathematics Teachers’ Association (India) will release the IOQM 2026-27 admit card on August 15, 2026. Students can either collect the same through the registered centres or download it from the official website. It is mandatory to carry an admit card to the exam hall on exam day. Without it, no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall.

The HBCSE will announce the result of IOQM 2026-27 stage 1 on September 15, 2026. Students who attain the minimum cutoff marks will be eligible for the RMO exam. To check the result, they need their roll number and date of birth. MTA will release the IOQM cut-off 2026 in September 2026. Below are the steps to check the IOQM result online.
