About iOEL 2018

International Olympiad in English Language (iOEL) 2018 will be organised by the Silverzone Foundation. iOEL tests the skills of students in the English language by testing their grammar, reading comprehension and vocabulary. The iOEL exam 2018 spans for 60 minutes and students from class 1 - 2 have to attempt 40 questions while students from class 3 - 12 have to attempt a total of 50 questions. The questions in iOEL 2018 are multiple choice, objective based questions and the students have to do these questions on an OMR sheet, except classes 1 and 2. iOEL 2018 has three levels: Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. The candidates have to pass the previous level to be eligible for the higher levels. The exam for level 1 has been conducted either on November 2 or will be conducted on December 11 at your own school. The level 2 exam will be conducted in January/ February 2019 at a school in your city or state.

iOEL 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Silverzone Foundation has set guidelines on the minimum qualifications/requirements that a person need to meet to be allowed to sit for International Olympiad in English Language 2018. The candidate must meet these guidelines in order to be allowed to appear for iOEL. The Eligibility criteria for iOEL 2018 is:

  • The student must be enrolled in a school recognised and added by the Silverzone Foundation. Students cannot appear for iOEL 2018 individually.
  • The student must be in any class between Class 1 to Class 12. The students lower than class 1 and higher than class 12 will not be allowed to in iOEL 2018.
  • The student must have filled the application and submitted it along with the application fee to the school authorities.

The application process for the iOEL 2018 requires the student to get the application form from the Principal, Vice Principal or the teacher in charge. Student has to fill the form correctly with all the information and submit it to the office of school authorities with the due fees by August 31, 2018.

iOEL 2018 Preparation Tips

iOEL 2018 is a tricky exam, its status being that of an Olympiad. The questions asked in olympiads are tricky and often deceiving. Here are a few tips and tricks by experts on how to tackle such questions head-on:

  • Know the Syllabus: The syllabus for the iOEL 2018 published by the Silverzone Foundation is quite vague and broad. Thus, it is important to know the syllabus before preparing.
  • Read a LOT: Reading comprehension take a lot of time in the exam. With only a limited 60 minutes, you need to be quick on your feet. The best way to grill yourself for the competition is to read a lot and increase your reading and comprehension speed.

iOEL 2018 Admit Card

Admit card is a must and the candidate needs to carry it on the day they give iOEL 2018. If not, the candidate will not be allowed to sit for the exam. Admit card also carries your enrollment number and various such details which are important at the time of the exam. Candidates will be given the admit card one or two weeks before iOEL 2019 by the school authorities.
