About iOM 2024

Silver Zone Foundation conducts the International Olympiad of Mathematics (iOM) for the students of classes 1 to 12. iOM exam is held annually at the National and International levels. Silver Zone iOM exam 2024-25 aims at testing students' mathematical skills and knowledge based on CBSE/ ICSE and the other State Boards. iOM is a 3-level exam. Students can contact their respective schools to register for iOM 2024-25 exam.

More Details About iOM Exam 2024-24:

  • iOM 2024-25 exam will be held on November 19, and December 10, 2024.
  • The last date for registration is September 30, 2024. 
  • The result for iOM level 1 will be declared in January 2025. Students qualifying level 1 will appear for iOM level 2 which is conducted at the national level. 
  • The result for level 2 will be tentatively released in last week of March 2025, tentatively. 
  • In Class 6 to 12, 1st rank holders of the 2nd level will be eligible for Level 3. Other students will also receive participation certificates, cash prizes and medals to toppers at each level.
  • Students who qualify level 3 and hold rank 1 & 2 are sent to NASA for an educational excursion.

iOM eligibility criteria 2024-25 state that -

  • iOM 2024 level 1 allows all students from classes 1-12 to participate in the exam.
  • For level 2, students holding top 1000 rank from each class in level 1 are eligible to appear. 
  • Only rank 1 holders from classes 6 to 12 in level 2 are eligible to appear for the level 3 exam.

The application process for iOM level 1 is held through schools. Schools communicate the last date to register for iOM 2024-25. The students need to register themselves through corresponding schools. No student is allowed for individual registration.

According to the iOM exam pattern 2024, it is a multiple choice paper for 1 hour with no negative marking. It comprises 25 questions for classes 1 to 2, 30 questions for classes 3 to 5 and 35 questions for classes 6 to 8 and 40 questions for classes 9 to 12.                       This prestigious competition is for high school students and applications are not done individually. Each country has a Mathematical Olympiad Committee that selects participants through a series of national exams.  You can't directly apply to the IMO itself.Many countries hold Math Olympiads at various levels to select participants for the IMO.  These might be called IMO or have different names.  The process for applying will vary depending on your country.

                      International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) have different level describing different eligibility.

                      Level 1 of IMO- Every student from class 1st to 12th are eligible to participate. There are percentage criteria.

                      Level 2 of IMO- Students who have passed and comes under the top 5% students are eligible for level 2. Also, a student must secure 50% or above in the class.
