The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Odisha accepted NMMS applications from August 1 to September 30, 2024. Students were able to apply for the NMMS Odisha 2024-25 exam online at nmms.odisha.gov.in. Students who completed the registration will be able to download their admit cards from November 27 to December 22, 2024. The NMMS Odisha exam is all set to be conducted on December 22, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The SCERT is expected to announce the NMMS Odisha result in March 2025.

Hello,
To be eligible for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) in West Bengal's Birbhum district as a general category student, you need to meet the following criteria:

Academic Performance : You must have secured at least 55% marks in your Class VII final examination to be eligible to appear for the NMMS examination in Class VIII.
-
Parental Income : Your parents' annual income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 3,50,000. An income certificate will be required as proof.

Qualifying Marks in NMMS Examination : During the NMMS examination, you must achieve at least 40% marks in each of the two tests—Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). This is the minimum qualifying criterion for general category students.
Please note that meeting these minimum qualifying marks does not guarantee a scholarship, as selection is also based on merit and the number of scholarships available in the district. Therefore, aiming for higher scores will improve your chances of selection.
Additionally, ensure that you are studying in a recognized government, government-aided, local body, or government-sponsored school without residential facilities, as students from private schools or state-run residential schools are not eligible for the NMMS scholarship.

NMMS-2024 : This will contain two parts-Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). This section also states the subjects below.
MAT (Mental Ability Test):
- Reasoning and Mental Ability.
- Contains topics that have a resemblance with the above like number series, pattern, coding-decoding, analogy, logical sequences.
SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test):
Subjects in it include all that was learnt up to 8th Grade
- Mathematics: Simple Arithmetic, Algebra, Basic Geometry, and Data Handling.
- Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Concepts like Matter, Motion, Energy, Plants, and Human Anatomy)
- Social Science: History , Geography, Civics, Economics
