The NMMS scholarship is aimed at providing financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections to continue their studies. Every selected student will get Rs 12000 per annum. Follow the steps to check the NMMS Bihar results online:

On the homepage, look for ‘NMMS Bihar Result’ and click on it.
In the next window, enter the details like ‘NMMS roll number, exam date, and captcha code’.

According to an official notice, the qualifying marks for the Bihar NMMS exam are 40% for General category candidates and 32% for SC, ST, and PH category students. This means that candidates belonging to these categories who have scored at least the specified percentage of marks have successfully passed the exam. Yes, the NMMS scholarship is available in the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
The application form is open till 24 September 2025 with exam scheduled on 9th of November 2025. Make sure that you are studying in a government or government aided school. KV, JNV and private schools are excluded from this NMMS scholarship.

A private school students is NOT eligible for NMMS scholarship due to the official criteria which is:
- Student must be studying in a government/ government aided or local body school.
- Student should have secured 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) in class 7.
- Family income should be below INR 3,50,000 per year.

The NMMS scholarship exam consists of two test papers:
1) Mental Ability Test (MAT)
2) Scholastic Ability Test (SAT)
Each of the paper is of 90 marks which totals to 180 marks.
You need to score at least 40% marks (32% for SC/ST) in each of the test paper individually to get pass.
Once you clear this exam you get a scholarship amount of INR 12,000 per year or INR 1,000 monthly which gets credited to students DBT account.
