About PSEB 10th 2020

Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) conducts the PSEB 10th Examination at state-level, every year. The board sets the syllabus, question paper, marking scheme and others related to PSEB 10th exams. Under Punjab School Education Board, there are a total of 5667 Government, 454 Government-aided and 3125 Unaided schools. Students who qualify the Class 9th exams and meet the eligibility of PSEB 10th exams are eligible to apply. Last year, over 4 lakh candidates appeared for PSEB 10th exams.  

  • PSEB 10th board exams will be conducted from March 15 to April 2, 2020 (tentatively). 
  • The practical exam will be held from April 5 to 13, 2020 (tentatively). 
  • The result of PSEB 10th exams will be released in the first week of May 2020. Last year, the result was announced on May 8, 2019. The passing marks for PSEB 10th examination are 33 for all subjects except Punjabi/Punjab History and Culture for which it is 25. 
  • Punjab Board provides an additional chance of supplementary exams for students who will fail in one or two subjects during the annual exam.
  • The PSEB 10th supplementary exam will be held in July 2020.

PSEB 10th 2020 Eligibility Criteria

According to the PSEB 10th eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed class 9 examination to appear in Punjab Board of Secondary Education 10th examination. They must also have attended class 10 in the current year in a school affiliated to the Board.

PSEB 10th 2020 Preparation Tips

  • Be through with the PSEB 10th syllabus and exam pattern.
  • Make a planned timetable and segregate each subject wisely.
  • Use flowcharts, diagrams, formulas and make notes regularly. These can be used for revision.
  • Practice from the sample papers of Punjab Board 10th, previous years practice papers to know the types of questions and weightage of each subject in the board exam
  • Relaxing and taking breaks between studies is very important. Although it is tough but not impossible. Include meditation for a few minutes, take walks, watch your favourite movie, sing or dance or play indoor or outdoor games for some time. This helps your mind and body to lessen the stress level and resume your preparation with confidence.

Punjab Board publishes the model test papers for PSEB class 10th on its official website. Students can use it to score well in the exam. These benefit the students in numerous ways like they tell the questions being asked year around, marking scheme etc. Students can also practice them to increase their speed for actual exam day.

PSEB 10th 2020 Admit Card

The admit card of PSEB 10th was issued by the Punjab Board of Secondary Education (PSEB) schools to all the eligible students. It is important to carry the PSEB Class 10th admit card to the exam centre without which they are not allowed to sit for the board exam.

Punjab Board of Secondary Education (PSEB) will announce the result of PSEB Class 10th result in the first week of May 2020 in offline mode.  Students who have appeared in the PSEB 10th exam can check their results, by entering their roll number or name. The result carries the marks obtained by the candidates and division. The Punjab Board also releases the merit list, subject wise pass percentage, result statistics and toppers list. The marksheets of the candidates will be made available by the authority.  On the basis of the PSEB 10th marks, candidates can take admission in the preferred stream. Students can also apply for re-checking and re-totalling of marks if they are not satisfied with the marks obtained in PSEB 10th exam.

  • Visit the official website of PSEB.

  • Go to the result portal.

  • Enter roll number in the login window.

  • Click on submit button

  • PSEB 10th Result will appear on the screen.

  • Save and print the result.
