PSEB 10th 2018 – The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) conducts the class 10 exam in the state. PSEB 10th 2018 was conducted from March 12 to 31, 2018. The practical exams was conducted from April 1 to 10, 2018. The result of PSEB 10th will be declared in first week of May. The supplementary examination is conducted in June for candidates who fails to clear one subject. Students who are not satisfied with their PSEB 10th 2018 result can file for rechecking or revaluation. Over 4 lakh candidates have appeared for Class 10th exam in Punjab. In 2017, 330437 candidates had appeared for PSEB 2018, out of which 190001 students cleared the exam. The overall pass percentage was 57.50. Girls fared boys with overall pass percentage of 63.97 while it was 52.35 among boys. PSEB 10th Exam Pattern 2018
Candidates in 10th board exam have to appear for Punjabi/Punjab History and Culture, English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Health Education, Computer Science as well as the elective subjects. Total marks for Punjab/Punjab History and Culture is 75 while other subjects carries 100 marks. The passing marks in this subject is 25 while it is 33 for others. The board has abolished the marks moderation system, under which grace marks were allotted to students to improve their final score thus resulting in a higher pass percentage. The syllabus of PSEB 10th has been prescribed by the exam conducting. PSEB 10th syllabus lists out the chapters as per the subjects that candidates have to prepare for the exam. Questions in the exam is framed based on the syllabus provided by PSEB. Therefore, candidates are asked to be thorough with the syllabus of PSEB 10th 2018 to score good in the exam.
PSEB 10th Sample Papers 2018
PSEB has released the sample papers of 10th for candidates. PSEB 10th sample papers are available for social science, hindi, English, Science and Maths. Practicing sample papers helps candidates to understand the marking scheme, number of questions and type of questions.
PSEB 10th Result 2018
The result of PSEB will be declared in the first week of May. Students can check PSEB 10th result online. To check result, candidates have to enter their roll number or name. The result will display the marks obtained by candidates as well as their division. The merit list, subject-wise pass percentage, toppers and result statistics are also released by the board along with the result. On the basis of the marks, candidates can take admission in their preferred stream. Students who are not satisfied with their result can apply for re-checking or re-totalling of marks. The experts of the subjects will examine the scripts and result will be declared accordingly. Students who fails to clear exam of one subject can appear for re-test. Students have to collect their marksheet from the respective schools.

In addition to this, the authority conducts scholarship exam and published textbook. There are total 5667 government schools while 454 government aided schools. There are 3125 unaided schools in Punjab.
