About Goa Board SSC 2019

Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) conducts the Goa SSC exam annually. Applications for the same are processed through the respective schools affiliated to the board. Goa 10th Board 2019 exams were held from April 2 to April 23, 2019. The result for Goa SSC 2019 was declared on May 21, 2019 at 11.30 am and compartment result has also been declared on July 1, 2019 in the online mode. Students can check and download the result for GBSHSE 10th exam 2019 online from the official website by entering their seat number or name. They can even access their result via text message. The result of Goa board 10th include details such as the student's name, enrollment number, marks according to subjects, total marks, and the division or rank. After clearing class 10th, students have to select an academic stream to study in classes 11th and 12th. They can make a selection from Science, Commerce and Arts stream.

Goa Board SSC 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Goa board has given guidelines which are to be followed by the students in order to be eligible for the class 10th exam. Goa board 10th eligibility criteria says that:

  • The candidate must have qualified class 10th from Goa board or a recognised board.
  • The candidate must have the required minimum attendance in class 10th.
  • The candidate must have acquired the admit card for Goa board class 10 2019 after filling the examination form and submitting the examination fees for the same.

Goa board class 10th exam 2019 is especially important as it determines which stream you end up in class 11th. In order to do your best to get the stream you want, you need to work hard and study smart. These things are easier said than done, thus, here are some tips and tricks used by the toppers to prepare for Goa board class 10th exam 2019:

  • Languages: In order to prepare for languages, you need to work on three things: 1) Reading and comprehension speed, 2) Grammar and writing formats and 3) Literature and analysis. All you would need to work on these things is read ample amount of texts and work on analyzing them.

Subjects with a time duration of 2.5 hours and total marks 80:

  • First languages: English, Marathi and Hindi.
  • Third languages: English, Kannada, Marathi and Konkani.

Subjects with a time duration of 2.5 hours and total marks 65:

  • Mathematics and Science.

Subjects with time duration of 2 hours and total marks 40:

  • Pre-vocational (Home science group): Food processing and cookery.
  • Word processing (theory) and word processing (practical).

Subjects with a time duration of 1.5 hours and total marks 40:

  • Third languages: Sanskrit composite and Hindi composite.
  • Social science - I and Social science - II. 

Subjects with a time duration of 1.5 hours and total marks 30:

  • Travel & Tourism, Agriculture, IT/ITeS, Banking financial services & insurance, Apparel, Healthcare and Automobile.

Subjects with practical exams, have 80 marks for theory & 20 marks of practical assessment. From the 20 marks in practicals, 25% are for internal assessment.
