To get admission into Class 10 of NIOS, students must meet the following eligibility criteria mentioned in the prospectus of NIOS. Below are the eligibility criteria for NIOS 10th admission for different sessions with streams.
The learner must have completed 14 years of age as of January 31, 2024-25.
Must have a school leaving certificate of Class 8 or Class 9 from any recognised school.
Should have passed the secondary examination from any recognised board.
They can apply for one or more up to 4 subjects to update their qualification.
Students who could appear for exams and could not pass.
Who were eligible but were unable to appear for the main exams of secondary level.
Students who want to take NIOS re-admission should
The students must have completed the 5 year validity period for NIOS admission.
Students should have not completed the course within the 5 years validity period of NIOS admission.
Students should have NIOS admission in any stream.
They must have passed a minimum of one subject and could not pass the course can get admission in the same course and get the TOC.
Students should have not completed the course within the NIOS admission validity period of 5 years.
Any student who wants to obtain the pass certificate should pass at least five subjects, including one or two maximum languages in Group A and three or four subjects in Group B.
