Tamil Nadu SSLC Exam 2026: TN Class 10 Time Table (Out), Syllabus, Admit Card & Result

Before applying for the TN 10th class exam 2026, students should check the eligibility criteria details carefully. To appear in the Tamil Nadu SSLC Board exam 2026, one must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

• Candidates must have completed 14 years as of March 1, 2026.
• Must have passed class 9 from the Tamil Nadu Board.

Age exemption – If candidates have not completed 14 years as of the prescribed date, they should submit an order from the authorities given below.

The application process for TN SSLC is carried out in online and offline mode. For Regular students, the concerned headmasters are required to send the names of candidates who are appearing for the SSLC examination to DGE. Private candidates are supposed to apply for the 10th class exam in Government Examination Service Centres located in all educational districts.

The officials have to upload the data such as name, date of birth, language and subjects, educational qualification, photo and address, and contact number of the student. The centre officials submit the filled application form along with the registration slip.

Tamil Nadu SSLC Board exams are conducted for subjects including – Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and Optional Language (Telugu, Arabic, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Gujarati Sanskrit. French, and Urdu). 

Students must obtain a minimum of 35% marks in each subject to pass the exams. Marks secured in the optional subject is not taken into account for qualifying as pass or fail. The Tamilnadu SSLC Board exam pattern is given in the table below:

• The TN Board 10th hall ticket 2026 will be made available online by the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE).
• The TN SSLC hall ticket will be released in March 2026.
