Before applying for the TN 10th class exam 2026, students should check the eligibility criteria details carefully. To appear in the Tamil Nadu SSLC Board exam 2026, one must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
Age exemption – If candidates have not completed 14 years as of the prescribed date, they should submit an order from the authorities given below.

The application process for TN SSLC is carried out in online and offline mode. For Regular students, the concerned headmasters are required to send the names of candidates who are appearing for the SSLC examination to DGE. Private candidates are supposed to apply for the 10th class exam in Government Examination Service Centres located in all educational districts.
The officials have to upload the data such as name, date of birth, language and subjects, educational qualification, photo and address, and contact number of the student. The centre officials submit the filled application form along with the registration slip.
