About Tamil Nadu SSLC 2023
Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu conducts the Tamil Nadu Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exam every year. Students can apply for TN SSLC 2023 exam by filling the application form in online or offline mode. The Tamil Nadu 10th exams are conducted offline i.e. pen and paper mode. DGE, Tamil Nadu conducts the SSLC exam for all government and private schools in the state.

- DGE, Tamil Nadu releases the TN SSLC admit card 2023 for private candidates.

Students who are not satisfied with their results can apply for revaluation. The ones who are not able to pass the exam can apply for Instant Special Supplementary Examination.
Students who successfully passed the Tamil Nadu SSLC exam can select an academic stream out of Science, Commerce, and Arts to opt-in class 11 and class 12.

Tamil Nadu SSLC 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the TN 10th class exam 2023, students should check the eligibility criteria details carefully. To appear in the Tamilnadu SSLC Board exam one must satisfy the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must have completed 14 years as of March 1, 2023.
- Must have passed class 9 from Tamil Nadu Board
Age exemption – If candidates have not completed 14 years as on the prescribed date they should submit an order from the authorities given below.

The application process for SSLC will be carried out in online and offline mode. For Regular students, the concerned headmasters are required to send the names of candidates who are appearing for the SSLC examination to DGE. Private candidates are supposed to apply for the 10th class exam in Government Examination Service Centres located in all educational districts.
The officials have to upload the data such as name, date of birth, language and subjects, educational qualification, photo and address, and contact number of the student. The centre officials submit the filled application form along with the registration slip.

Tamil Nadu SSLC Board exams are conducted for the following subject – Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and Optional Language (Telugu, Arabic, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Gujarati Sanskrit. French, and Urdu).
Students must obtain a minimum of 35% marks in each subject to pass the exams. Marks secured in the optional subject is not taken into account for declaration of a pass or fail. Tamilnadu SSLC Board exam pattern is given in the table below.

Tamil Nadu SSLC 2023 Admit Card
TN SSLC hall ticket 2023 is be made available online on dge.tn.gov.in. Private candidates SSLC admit card will be released in March 2023. They can download their Tamilnadu SSLC admit card online. They need to enter the application number and date of birth to download the admit card.
The admit card mentions the name, address, registration number, roll number, subjects, codes, duration, and date of birth. One must carry the admit card of the Tamilnadu SSLC Board during the exam as they will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
