Assam borad 12thAssam AHSEC 12th 2018 – Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) conducts the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination in the state. The examination is held in February/March every year. In 2018, Assam AHSEC class 12th examination was conducted from February 23 to March 22, 2018. The examination was conducted throughout various centres across the state in two shifts. Over 3 lakh students appeared for the Assam AHSEC 2018 examination. According to Dayananda Borgohain, Chairman, Assam Higher Secondary Council, the result will be declared in the last week of May, 2018. In 2017, the pass percentage from humanities was 73.16 while it was 86.24 from Science Stream. The total pass percentage recorded from Commerce stream was 82.72%. The pass certificate and marksheet will be issued by the board within few days from the date of declaration of result. The provisional marksheet will be available at the time of result. Questions in the examination are framed as per the syllabus and pattern prescribed by the board. Assam AHSEC 12th result is declared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in HS final examination. According to Assam AHSEC 12th eligibility criteria, candidates must have 75% attendance. Those fulfilling the eligibility criteria is issued Assam AHSEC 12th admit card by the board for appearing in the examination. Assam AHSEC 12th 2018 Datesheet

The datesheet of Assam AHSEC 12th is released in December. In 2018, the exam was conducted in two shifts – morning and afternoon. The exam for the morning shift was held from 9 am to 12 pm while for afternoon shift it was conducted from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm. The exam for 30 marks was held from 9 am to 10.30 am. The result of Assam AHSEC 12th 2018 will be declared online in the last week of May. The result for all the streams will be

announced together. The result will be available on the official website. However, the link to check Assam AHSEC 12th result will be provided on this page. Candidates have to enter roll number and captcha. The marksheet will be released by the board few days after the declaration of result. Assam 12th result 2018 – Rechecking of answer sheet

Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for rechecking of the answer sheet. They are required to submit the same in a format specified by the board. The rechecking of answer sheets will be entertained within 10 days from the date of publication of Assam AHSEC 12th result. The fee for rechecking is Rs 300 per subject and candidates have to pay it through demand draft drawn in favor of Secretary, AHSEC, Guwahati or Challan of Apex Bank, Noonmati Branch. Candidates can apply for rechecking for 3 subjects. No rechecking will be entertained in practical papers.


Assam class 12th Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

Students in HS final examination have to appear for MIL Subjects, English, and Elective subjects.  The English paper carries 100 marks while MIL/Alt English is held for 100 marks. Candidates have to choose three elective subjects. The total marks for elective paper are 300 with each paper carrying 100 marks. In case of subjects having practical, 70 marks is allocated to the theory part while 30 for practical. To qualify Assam AHSEC 12thexam, students are required to secure the minimum marks in each of the two core and three elective subjects. The pass marks are 30% of the total marks for subjects having no practical parts. For a subject having practical, the passing marks is 30% of the marks allocated to the theory part and 40% of the marks allocated in the practical part and a student must pass in the theory part and in the practical part, separately. In case candidates are offered four subjects, the marks secured in three subjects in which the performance is better shall be taken into account for determining the pass, rank, division, distinction and star marks. The marks secured in the fourth elective will be shown in the marksheet and will not be taken into consideration for awarding rank, division and distinction. The procedure of awarding grades are explained below:

Assam AHSEC Eligibility Criteria

Candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to be eligible for the exam.

  • Must have 75% attendance in each subject.

  • Students who do not have 75% attendance on medical ground or for any other reasonable ground will be admitted to the examination.

  • Such candidates have to pay the required fee prescribed by the council.
