AHSEC Exam Pattern 2025: Marks Distribution, Question Format, and Preparation Tips

Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has released the Assam HS exam pattern on the official website. The Assam HS exam pattern for 2024-25, covers subjects like Maths, Accounts, Chemistry, Biology, and more. The Assam AHSEC exam pattern will feature four sections: objective-type, very short answer, short answer, and long answer questions. Each subject will have a maximum of 16 questions. The Assam 12th Class exam pattern will be consistent for both compulsory and elective subjects.
Some AHSEC subjects include internal assessment components that contribute to the final marks. To pass a subject, students must secure a minimum of 30% in the theory exam and 40% in practical exams. Importantly, there is no negative marking in AHSEC exams.
AHSEC Assam Exam Pattern 2024-25
For AHSEC Class 12, students must study two core subjects: English and a Modern Indian Language. Also, they must choose three elective subjects. Each elective subject is worth a total of 100 marks, with 70 marks allocated for the theory exam and 30 marks for practical exams.

Assam HS Passing Marks 2025
Students must achieve the minimum passing marks in all subjects as specified by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.
To pass a theory subject, students need to secure at least 30% of the total marks. For practical subjects, the passing mark is 40% of the total marks.
When calculating the final result, only the higher-scoring language subject will be considered. However, it's essential to pass both language subjects.

Have a question related to Assam HSLC ?
For qualifying for the Anundoram Borooah Award, the candidate needs to get 75% or more in HSLC to get the rewards which you've clearly done that. So first of all congratulations on your achievement. Secondly, No it will not reject your application.
Suppose you didn't had your own bank account. What would you do then? Obviously one will give the bank account of your parents. The name on the Admit card will be yours and that of on the Bank account will be your parents. No match right?! So, it will not make an issue if the name on your Admit Card and your Bank account doesn't match. They will not reject your application for the Award.

So, with regard to your query, as per the tentative dates for the Assam Board the elective subject arabic examination will mostly be held in the month of March or April in 2022. However, due to pandemic the dates may change.
