About TN HSC Board 2020

Directorate of Government Examination(DGE), Tamil Nadu is the body which conducts TN class 12th examination. The board will release the TN 12th Exam time table in online mode and the exams will be conducted in the month of March 2020. The exam will be a pen and paper-based with a single set of question papers. Students must follow the syllabus and exam pattern prescribed by the board to know the important topics and types of questions asked in the exam. TN HSE Hall Ticket 2020 will be released in the month of February 2020 in the online mode on the official website i.e. dge.tn.gov.in. Candidates preparing for TN Higher Secondary Examination must practice the previous year's question papers or sample papers to get a better idea of marking scheme, the number of question from each unit and types of questions asked. Tamil Nadu 12th result will be announced in the third week of April 2020 on the website of Board. The result declared online will be provisional and will be valid for only 90 days. So students must collect their original marksheets from their respective school or board authority after the declaration of result. Students who are unable to pass the Annual TN 12th Exam can appear for the compartment exams conducted in the month of June 2020 and the result for the same will be declared in the month of July 2020.

TN HSC Board 2020 Eligibility Criteria

DGE, Tamil Nadu has set eligibility criteria for appearing in TN HSC Board exam. Students have to fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria before writing the exam. 

  • One must have passed class 11 from a recognized school of Tamil Nadu board and must be pursuing class 12.
  • Must attain the age of 16 years as on July 31, 2019 to be eligible for TN HSC Exams.
  • Students need to maintain a minimum attendance and should clear all dues applying for TN HSC Board Exams.

TN HSC Board 2020 Application Process

Mode of Payment : Other

Students can apply for TN class 12 Exam in both online and offline mode. Regular students can fill the application form through their respective schools in the offline mode. While private students appearing for the TN HSC board exam must fill in the online application form at the nearest Government examination center. They can also collect the form at the nodal center from the board authorities and fill it offline. The application fee is to be submitted in cash mode for both Regular and Private students. Payment through any other mode is not be accepted.

TN HSC Board 2020 Exam Pattern

DGE, Tamil Nadu prescribes a syllabus, books and exam pattern for the conduct of class 12 exams. Students must refer to the syllabus and exam pattern while preparing for TN class 12 Exams. As per the TN 12th class exam pattern, the duration of each paper is 3 hours. The exam is conducted in three Parts :

  • Part 1 is a language paper in which students can opt the language of their choice. Language options provided by the board are Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Urdu, Sanskrit, Arabic, French, German.
  • Part 2 is the English Language paper.
  • Part 3 has a choice of 4 subjects from a list as specified by the Board.

Students who are preparing for the Class 12 board exams must put in proper hard work and dedication to score well in the exams. Students must go through the entire syllabus thoroughly. Students must solve as many sample question papers as possible. Sample paper and questions papers must be practiced after covering all the important topics or entire syllabus. Candidates must build strong concepts rather than mugging up everything. If there is conceptual clarity one can solve tricky questions easily. Practice papers help students to analyze their preparation level, makes aware of the types of questions and so on

TN HSC Board 2020 Admit Card

Admit cards are available in both offline and online mode. The regular students appearing for class 12 exams can collect their admit card from the school authority before the commencement of the examination. While the private candidates can download the hall ticket from the official website by entering the details like application number and date of birth. Hall ticket is an important document without which one is not allowed to sit for the exam. It mentions the exam schedule, center name, and address and examination instructions (if any).

DGE, Tamil Nadu will announce the result of class 12 in the third week of April 2020. TN 12th result will be announced in online mode on the official website of the board i.e. www.dge.tn.gov.in, The result announced by the board will be provisional and valid for 90 days. Students can collect the original marksheet from their respective school. Original marksheet will be considered the final proof for further consideration.
