AP Intermediate Proposed Exam Pattern 2026

The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) has introduced changes to the marking pattern for Intermediate examinations. A realignment of the subject-wise total marks and the weightage between theory exams and internal/practical assessments is proposed to align the marking scheme with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) pattern. Subject-Wise AP Intermediate Exam Pattern 2026

We have provided the AP inter exam pattern subject-wise using previous years' AP inter question papers.

AP Inter Mathematics Exam Pattern 2026

As per the year 2026, the AP inter-exam paper for mathematics will carry 75 marks in total.

• The paper will be divided into three sections, A, B and C.

• There will be very short-answer type, short-answer type and long-answer type questions included in the AP intermediate question paper.

• Internal choice questions will be provided within the sections.

AP Inter Botany Exam Pattern 2026

The AP intermediate Botany exam will carry 60 marks in total. The examination will be conducted for 3 hours.

• The AP intermediate Botany paper will be divided into three sections, A, B and C.

• Section A will consist of very short answer-type questions, that will carry 2 marks each.

• Each question in section B will carry 4 marks. It will consist of short answer questions. Students must answer these questions in 20 lines.

• Section C questions will be long answer types and will carry 8 marks each. Each answer must be limited to 60 lines.

• Diagram questions will be included in the AP Inter Botany paper. Students must draw the diagrams neatly and label them accordingly.

AP Intermediate Zoology Exam Pattern 2026

Students must read the entire AP inter syllabus to help them understand the type of questions that will be asked in the examination. Below, we have provided the AP inter-exam pattern using previous years’ question papers.

• Section A will carry 2 marks questions. It will include very short answer-type questions.

• Section B will consist of short answer type questions that will carry 4 marks.

• Section C consists of long answer-type questions. Each question will carry 8 marks each.

• Students must draw the diagrams neatly and label them.

AP Intermediate Chemistry Exam Pattern 2026

The AP inter-chemistry theory paper will carry 60 marks in total. There will be a total of 21 questions in the paper, each will carry different marks. The AP inter Chemistry paper will consist of three sections, A, B and C.

• Section A: There will be 10 questions carrying 2 marks each.

• Section B: There will be 8 questions of short answer type. Each question will carry 4 marks.

• Section C: There will be 3 questions that will carry 8 marks.

• Internal choice questions will be included in the question paper.

• Sections B and C will also include diagram questions. Students must draw labelled diagrams wherever required.

AP Intermediate Physics Exam Pattern 2026

The AP Intermediate Physics exam will be conducted for three hours. The paper will be divided into two parts, theory and practicals/internal assessment. The Physics theory paper will carry 60 marks. We have provided the type of questions, number of questions and marks below.

AP Intermediate Commerce Exam Pattern Derived from 2026 Question Paper

As per the AP inter-commerce question paper 2021, the paper will carry 100 marks in total. The AP exam paper will be divided into two parts. It will be further divided into sections. Check out the table below for reference.

AP Intermediate Economics Exam Pattern 2026

There will be a total of 37 questions in the AP inter-economics paper. Students must answer all the questions carefully and draw suitable diagrams wherever required. The AP inter Economics paper will be divided into three sections, A, B and C.

• Students must answer 10-mark questions (Section A) in 40 lines.

• Section B questions must be answered in 20 lines.

• Section C will include short notes. Every answer must be limited to 5 lines.

AP Intermediate English Exam Pattern 2026

The AP inter-English paper will consist of three sections, A, B and C. It will carry 100 marks in total. There will be internal choice questions included. Students must read the question paper carefully before answering.

• There will be textbook questions, passage reading, match the following etc types of questions included in the paper.

• Each question will carry different marks.

• There will be internal choice questions.

AP Intermediate History Exam Pattern 2026

There will be three sections in the AP inter History exam paper.

• Section A: Long answer type questions. Each question will carry 10 marks.

• Section B: Short answer type questions of 5 marks each.

• Section C: Very short answer-type questions. Each question will carry 2 marks.

• Map-based questions will be included in the paper. Students must attach the map with the answer sheet.
