Swami Vivekananda Scholarship 2024-25 Eligibility

  • Students studying in regular mode in Classes 11, 12, undergraduate level in Science/Arts/Commerce, Engineering, Medical, and Technical / Professional courses.
  • Postgraduate level students pursuing Science/Arts/Commerce & Technical / Management.
  • Students pursuing M.Phil and Doctoral courses (NON-NET JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW and NET-LECTURESHIP) from State-aided Institutions.
  • Girls students pursuing Post Graduate courses in Science, Arts, and Commerce stream from Universities of this State will also be eligible as Kanyashree(K3) applicants.
  • Students belonging to families whose annual maximum family income falls under Rs 2,50,000/-.
  • Applicants should be a permanent resident of the state of West Bengal.

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship 2024-25 Criteria for Eligibility

Students who fall into any of the aforementioned categories must now meet the requirements listed below to be eligible for the SVMCM scholarship in 2024. They should pass in the year 2022 2021 or 2020, with at least:

  • 60% marks in aggregate in the last qualifying examination(75% for previous year pass-out candidates) from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
  • 60% marks in aggregate in diploma courses from institutes approved by AICTE and affiliated to WBSCT&VE&SD for undergraduate level Scholarship (in 2nd year Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy courses through Lateral Entry) or affiliated by State Medical Faculty for UnderGraduate level Scholarship (in 2nd year Pharmacy course through Lateral Entry).
  • 53% marks in aggregate in Graduation (Honours Subject) from any State University for Post Graduate Level Scholarship (General Education) /55% marks in Graduate Courses from any State University or AICTE approved Institute of West Bengal for Post Graduate Level Scholarship (Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy).
  • Girls obtaining an undergraduate degree with 45% marks in aggregate from Institutions of this State.

  • Select the respective category: Topper or Non-Topper.
  • Now, select the application type as Fresh or Renewal.
  • For fresh application, select ‘Apply for Fresh’ and click on ‘Proceed
  • Fill out the registration form and get the user ID and password.
  • Now go to the homepage and click on ‘Application Login
  • Enter the application ID, and password and fill in the captcha.

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship (SVMCM) – Renewal of Scholarship

Students who are taking advantage of the SVMCM scheme will need to renew their application every year. They need to fulfil the eligibility criteria to apply for renewal of the SVMCM application. A minimum of 60% marks is required for one’s transitioning from higher secondary level to UG and Diploma level. Apart from this, at the postgraduate level, one needs to obtain a minimum of 50% marks at the promotional level.
