The Government of West Bengal has started the SVMCM application form 2024-25 for student registration on November 20, 2024 in online mode. Students can register for the SVMCM 2024 scholarship by visiting the official website. The government introduced the Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM) to assist meritorious students from economically weaker sections of society. The SVMCM scholarship 2024-25 provides scholarships at different levels of higher education. The last date for the SVMCM scholarship scheme will be in January 2025.

How to apply for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship 2024-25

Students can apply for the Vivekananda Scholarship 2024-25 online on the official website - svmcm.wbhed.gov.in. The whole SVMCM application process 2024-25 along with the SVMCM schedule for online application is listed below.

SVMCM 2024-25 Application Procedure

Students must go through the SVMCM Scholarship 2024-25 Application process listed below to avail this scheme of scholarship.

• Step 1 - Applicants will be required to fill out the SVMCM 2024-25 registration form that is available on the SVMCM scholarship official website at svmcm.wbhed.gov.in.
• Step 2 - An Applicant ID will be generated after submitting the SVMCM registration form 2024-25. Use it to Swami Vivekananda Scholarship login and fill in the whole SVMCM application form 2024-25. Also, upload the scanned copies of photographs and signatures.
• Step 3 - After submitting the SVMCM application form 2024-25, the ‘Scanned Supporting Document Upload’ page will appear on the screen. Students will be required to upload the documents.
• Step 4 - After successfully uploading the documents, check the whole application form in view mode and then click on ‘Submit Application’ to complete the SVMCM 2024-25 application process.

Note: Applicants cannot edit their application Swami Vivekananda Scholarship form after submission. However, if any modification is required to be done after the submission of SVMCM 2024-25, then applicants can approach the concerned HOI/DI to get their application form unlocked. Thereafter, modifications in the SVMCM Scholarship 2024-25 application form can be done and the form can be submitted back.

SVMCM Scholarship Application 2024-25- Documents Required

Students can go through the list of documents that will have to be uploaded while filling in the SVMCM Scholarship 2024-25 application form and submit it before the last date of the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship

Documents to be uploaded by Fresh and Kanyashree Applicants:

• Mark sheet of Madhyamik Examination or its equivalent (Both sides).
• Mark sheet of last Board/Council/University/College examination (Both sides)
• Admission receipt.
• Income certificate of the family (Not Applicable for Kanyashree).
• Domicile certificate as Aadhaar ID/Voter ID/Ration card/Certificate issued by the concerned authority.
• Scanned copy of Bank Passbook (1st Page, containing A/C No. and IFSC).

Documents to be uploaded for Renewal Application:

• Copy of the mark sheet of the last examination in the present course of study. (Both sides and in the case of the semester examination system, both semester mark sheets).
• Admission receipt for the promotion to the next higher class.

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2024-25

Students desiring to apply for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship scheme 2024-25 must go through the SVMCM eligibility criteria given below to check if they qualify to apply for the SVMCM 2024-25 scholarship scheme:

• Students must be studying in regular mode for any one of the following courses:

1. Class 11 and Class 12

2. UG Level (Science, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Medical and Technical/Professional courses)

3. PG Level ( Science/Arts/Commerce & Technical/Management)

Students must have passed in the year 2024, 2023, 2022, or 2021 or 2020 with:

1. 60% marks in aggregate in the last qualifying examination (75% for previous year pass-out candidates) from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education/West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education/Madrasa Education for Higher Secondary level or Under Graduate level Scholarship
2. 60% marks in aggregate in diploma courses from Institutes approved by AICTE and affiliated to WBSCT&VE&SD for Under Graduate level Scholarship (in 2nd year Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy courses through Lateral Entry) or affiliated by State Medical Faculty for Under Graduate level Scholarship (in 2nd year Pharmacy course through Lateral Entry).
3. 53% marks in aggregate in Graduation (Honours Subject) from any State University for PG Level Scholarship (General Education) /55% marks in Graduate Courses from any State University or AICTE approved Institute of West Bengal for Post Graduate Level Scholarship (Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy).

• Students pursuing M.Phil courses and Doctoral courses (Non-NET Junior Research fellow and NET-Lecturership) from State-aided institutions.
• Girls pursuing PG degrees from universities of the state after obtaining a UG degree with at least 45% marks in aggregate can avail of the scholarship scheme as Kanyashree(K3) applicants.
• All candidates must have a family income of Rs. 2,50,000 /- per annum or below to be able to apply for the SVMCM scheme 2024-25.
