Bihar Scholarship 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria
Students must know the Bihar Scholarship 2026-27 eligibility criteria before applying for the scholarship. To qualify for the Bihar Scholarship 2026-27, they must meet the criteria as provided below. If a student does not meet these requirements, their application will be rejected.
Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) For BC-EBS | Domicile: Bihar Category: BC-EBC Must have passed the 10th class and be studying in a recognised School/Institute Family annual income: Should not exceed 1.5 lakh Only two children of the parents can avail themselves of the Bihar scholarship. A student already availing of a scholarship from any organisation cannot receive this scholarship. |
Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) For ST | Domicile: Bihar Category: ST Must have passed the 10th class and be studying in a recognised School/Institute Family annual income: Should not exceed 2.5 lakh |
Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) For SC | Domicile: Bihar Category: SC Must have passed 10th class and be studying post-matriculation or post-secondary course in a recognised School/Institute Family annual income: Should not exceed 2.5 lakh He/she can not avail of this scholarship along with any other scholarship. |
Post-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities | Students with 40% and above disabilities defined in the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, are eligible for this scholarship. A maximum of two children of the same parents are provided with this scholarship. The annual family income should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh. Must have passed 10th and be pursuing an intermediate/ diploma/ graduate/ post-graduate course in a recognised institute. Open students can also apply for this scholarship. |

National-Means-Cum Merit Scholarship | Must be studying in the 8th class Annual family income limit: Rs. 1.5 lakh Students from JNV, KV, and Sainik School are not eligible to apply. Only students who qualify for the NMMS exam are provided with this scholarship. |

How to Fill Bihar Scholarship Application Form 2026-27

Bihar Scholarship Registration 2026-27
Visit the official website at scholarships.gov.in.
Go to the 'New Registration' option on the home page.
On the next page, read the guidelines thoroughly and check the disclaimer box.
After that, click the “Proceed” option for the registration form.
Select Bihar from the list of domiciles, then select the category to apply for the Bihar Scholarship 2026-27.
Enter the student's name and choose 'Scholarship scheme' from the scheme types list.
Fill in the blanks with your contact details, bank details, ID details, and the captcha code.
Submit it by clicking the register button after accepting all the disclaimers.
Take note of the application number generated and shown on the screen.
Click the continue button, and the login page will open.
Log in to Bihar Scholarship 2026-27
Students must log in using their credentials after registration.
In the login window, they must enter their application number.
Then, enter the password, which will be the student's birth date.
Now, enter the captcha code that appears on the screen and click the login button.
An OTP will be given to the registered mobile number; enter it and click on the 'Confirm OTP' button to open a password change window.
Enter a new password and confirm the same by re-entering it. Then, submit it, and it will open the student dashboard.
Bihar Scholarship Application Form 2026-27
Open the application form link on the dashboard, which will take you to the Bihar Scholarship 2026-27 form.
Fill in the General information as asked.
Then provide your current academic information, previous class/course information, and any other information requested.
To submit the form, click the 'Save and Continue' option.
Renewal of Bihar Scholarship 2026-27
Students who have received the Bihar scholarship amount in the previous year do not need to register at NSP. They need to apply for renewal of the Bihar Scholarship 2026-27. For this, they can follow the given steps:
After opening the official website, click on the renewal link for the current year.
Enter the app ID and password.
Fill in the captcha code and click the submit button.
On the dashboard, click the Apply for Renewal option.
It will open a form. Students must enter the information requested for renewal.
Then click the ‘Final Submit’ button, and the application for the Bihar scholarship 2026 renewal will be submitted.
Take a printout of the Bihar scholarship form to use later.
