The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) conducts the Semester III and IV examinations for Class 12th students. Last year, the WBCHSE WB HS Semester IV exam was conducted from February 12 to 27, 2026, and the HS Semester III exams from September 8 to 22, 2025. The Semester III WBCHSE HS exam 2027 will be conducted in a single shift. Most theory exams will be held from 11 am to 12:30 pm (1 hour 30 minutes), while exams for Visual Arts, Music and Vocational Subjects will be conducted from 11 am to 12:00 noon (1 hour). WB HS Routine 2027 Exam Day Guidelines
It is necessary to follow the exam day instructions, which are mentioned in the West Bengal Board HS exam timetable 2027. Find the instructions below.
- Candidates must bring their registration certificate along with a blue or black ink pen. They may also carry a pencil, eraser, sharpener, ruler, and other permitted stationery items in a transparent pouch. In addition, candidates are allowed to carry a transparent water bottle and a transparent clipboard.
- Items such as books, notes, loose papers, calculators (except in permitted cases), pen drives, electronic pens, mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, cameras, bags, health bands, and any other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Only analogue watches are permitted; smart watches are not allowed. Calculators are permitted only for candidates appearing in the Higher Secondary Examination under the Old System.
- Candidates are not allowed to appear for any subject that is not mentioned on their West Bengal HS admit card, except in special cases with prior approval from the concerned authorities.
- If a candidate fails to produce the admit card on the first day of the examination, they may be allowed to appear provisionally after submitting a written undertaking. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the examination.
- Candidates must report to the examination centre as per the scheduled time. Parents or guardians may accompany candidates up to the main gate but must leave at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
- Candidates are advised to read all instructions carefully printed on the question paper, OMR sheet, and admit card. All required details on the answer script or OMR sheet must be filled in correctly. The invigilator will verify and sign the answer script or OMR sheet.
- Only blue or black ballpoint pens are permitted for marking the OMR sheet. Gel pens and fountain pens are not allowed. OMR sheets must be handled with care and should not be folded, torn, soiled, or damaged in any way. No rough work is permitted on the OMR sheet.
