KVPY 2019 Eligibility Criteria consists of the nationality, minimum age limit, and minimum marks required. Students should meet the eligibility criteria before applying for the KVPY 2019. While SA is taken by students studying in class 11, SX is for students in class 12 and SB is for students in their first year of undergraduate programmes. IISc has released the online KVPY application form on July 8, 2019. The last date to fill the online application form is August 31, 2019. The application is a three-step procedure wherein :
The application fee for KVPY 2019 is Rs.1000 for general category students and Rs.500 for SC, ST and PwD students.
Documents required for KVPY application form:
1. Scanned passport sized photograph in JPG/JPEG. The image size should be less than 150 kb.
2. Scanned signature. The image size should be less than 80 kb.
3. Scanned copy of caste certificate, if applicable. Pdf should be less than 300 kb.
4. Scanned pdf copy of medical certificate for PwD candidates, which should be less than 300 kb
The KVPY 2019 preparation tips are separate for SA, SB and SX separately. Here are some of the preparation tips:
Students can check the test duration, total marks of paper, subjects, the total number of questions asked and others in KVPY 2019 exam pattern. The question paper consists of four sections that are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. KVPY 2019 exam duration is 3 hours.
KVPY SA Exam Pattern
KVPY SA exam is a computer-based test consisting of 80 multiple-choice questions. It is divided into two parts, Part 1 & Part 2–
Part 1 consists of 60 questions of 1 mark each for right answers and negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answers
Part 2 consists of 20 questions of 2 marks each for right answers and negative marking of 0.5 marks for wrong answers.
The test duration of KVPY SA is 3 hours duration conducted from 9:30 AM to 12: 30 PM.
Attempting all questions is compulsory.
The question paper will be available in English & Hindi Language
KVPY SX/SB Exam Pattern
KVPY SX exam is a three hours computer-based test of 100 marks.
Part 1 has 80 questions of 1 mark each. 0.25 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
Part 2 has 40 questions of 2 marks each. 0.5 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
Students have to answer any 3 out of the 4 subjects in Part I and any 2 of the 4 subjects in Part II.
If students attempt all the questions, then the best of 3 in Part I and the best of 2 in Part II is considered.
KVPY SX will be conducted in the afternoon from 2:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The mock test of KVPY enables candidate to experience actual exam environment. Not only they get well versed with exam pattern, they also get to know about their weak areas which need to be focused more on. Here are some points to note about KVPY mock test:
1. The KVPY 2019 mock test will be available both in Hindi and English
2. Candidates can sign in directly without using their login ID and password to access the mock test
3. The KVPY mock test is divided into two parts, comprising questions from Mathematics, Science, Physics and Chemistry
4. The total duration of the mock test of KVPY is 180 minutes
KVPY admit card has been released on October 7, 2019 in the online mode. Candidates can download the admit card by entering their login details. Admit card of KVPY contains details regarding candidates roll no., name, exam centre, photograph, signature, exam slot etc. Admit card is an essential component to sit for the exam. No student will be allowed to write the exam without it. Candidates can download the KVPY 2019 admit card till the day of the exam i.e November 3, 2019.

The result of KVPY 2019 is announced in the form of PDF which contains the names, application number and roll numbers of shortlisted candidates for the round of interview. How to check KVPY Result 2019?
1. Click on the 'KVPY result' link given above. Then click on 'KVPY result 2019'
2. The pdf of merit list will be given stream wise and category wise
3. Select stream- SA, SX and SB for your category
4. The name, roll number and application number of shortlisted candidates will be displayed.
5. Download KVPY result 2019 on finding your name. This shall be carried for the interview.
5. Keep a copy of the result for future reference.
KVPY cut off is the minimum qualifying score calculated combined for aptitude test and interview. The students who qualify the KVPY cut off are eligible to avail KVPY scholarship. The merit list of KVPY is prepared based on the cut off of the exam. IISc releases both category-wise and stream-wise cut off of KVPY.
