Inspire Scholarship Eligibility 2020 - Department of Science and Technology (DPT) awards SHE scholarship to meritorious students. Interested students must fulfil the SHE Inspire 2020 scholarship eligibility criteria in order to avail the same. Student’s age must be between 17-22 years. As per the Inspire scholarship eligibility 2020, top 1% Class 12th students of any board can apply for the same. In addition to this, students who secure rank within 10000 in JEE or NEET will also be eligible to apply. DPT releases the cutoff for the selection of the students. Top 1% meritorious Class 12th students of any state or central education board are eligible to apply for Inspire scholarship 2020.
Students who will secure rank within 10000 in JEE or NEET can also apply for the scholarship.
Students fulfilling the above eligibility conditions and pursuing BSc, BS, and Int.MSc/MS in basic and natural science will satisfy the Inspire scholarship eligibility 2020.
Students of ISERs, NISER and Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Basic Sciences studying integrated M.S. course can also apply for this scholarship.
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS), National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) scholars and International Olympiad medalists who are studying UG or PG course in Natural science are also eligible to apply for the Inspire scholarship program.
BSc/BS/Int. MSc/Int. MS course in Mathematics/ Geology/ Physics/ Statistics/ Chemistry, Astrophysics/ Botany/ Biology/ Astronomy/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Electronics/ Geophysics/ Bio-chemistry/ Geochemistry/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Anthropology/ Oceanic Sciences.
Only students pursuing regular courses are eligible for the Inspire scholarship 2020.
Other courses in any other subjects such as Medicine, Agriculture, Psychology, Engineering, Seed Technology, Military Science, Anthropology, Defense Studies, Home Science, Biotechnology, Bio-informatics, Geography, Economics, Physical Education, Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Instrumentation will not be accepted.
Distance Education students will not be eligible to apply for this scholarship.
UP students can also apply for post-matric UP scholarship 2020.
Students who will satisfy the Inspire eligibility 2020 will have to produce the given document to claim the scholarship. The scanned copy of the documents mentioned below needs to be uploaded while applying for Inspire 2020 scholarship:

No exam (online/offline) is conducted for the selection in the Inspire scholarship. Students are shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained in Class 12th.
Board-wise cutoff marks will be put out on the official website in the form of a pdf file. Students who attain equal or more than the cutoff marks are shortlisted for DST Inspire scholarship.
Selected students are supposed to open a savings bank account in SBI bank and link the same with their Adhar card.
They further need to upload the scanned file of self-attested photocopy of passbook’s first page on the DST web portal.

The selected students will be awarded Rs. 80,000 per annum. The Inspire scholarship amount will be differentiated into annual scholarship (Rs. 60000) and summertime attachment fees (Rs. 20000) respectively.
The annual scholarship of Rs. 60,000 will be deposited to the student’s account. The amount will be provided as a draft of Rs.5000 per month.
Summertime attachment fees of Rs. 20000 will be awarded to the students who have attended the summertime research project.
A total of 12000 Inspire SHE scholarships will be provided to the eligible students.
The scholarship is disbursed for a maximum of five years or until the completion of course.
Department of Science and Technology (DST) releases the cutoff for the DST Inspire SHE scholarship. Students who will apply for this scholarship need to score the minimum qualifying marks or more in order to get shortlisted. The cutoff will be released in the form of a selection list. Students can check the previous year DST Inspire SHE scholarship cutoff for the reference.
Interested students who will satisfy the Inspire scholarship eligibility criteria 2020 will be able to apply for the same from November 1, 2020.
