Preparation Tips for CBSE Class 10 Social Science Exam 2026

    1. Read NCERT textbooks thoroughly. Most of the questions are directly based on NCERT concepts, examples, maps and case studies.

    2. Keep separate notes for History, Geography, Political Science and Economics, as this will help in easy revision and also subject-wise understanding.

    3. Learn important dates, events, movements and leaders in History using timelines, flowcharts and short summaries.

    4. Do regular map work for Geography and History, particularly for locations relating to minerals, industries, dams, agriculture and national movements.

    5. Don’t just learn by rote; understand the concepts. This is more important in Political Science and Economics, as questions are often application-based.

    6. Revise important definitions, constitutional terms, economic concepts and geographical terms regularly for objective and short-answer type questions.

    7. Practice assertion-reason, case study and source-based questions for developing analytical and interpretation skills. Provide answers in point format with proper headings, subheadings and keywords for better presentation and scoring potential.

    8. Practise with full-length mock tests and previous-year question papers to enhance your time management skills within the 3-hour duration of the exam.
