Important Formula for CBSE Class 10 Science Based on Repeated Questions

  1. Speed = Distance / Time

  2. Energy = Power × Time

  3. Resistance (R) = Voltage (V) / Current (I)

  4. Stress = Force / Area

  5. Weight on Moon = Weight on Earth × (1/6)

  6. Potential Energy = mgh (where m is mass, g is the acceleration due to gravity, and h is the height)

  7. Voltage = Current × Resistance

  8. Kinetic Energy = ½ mv²

  9. Maximum Height (h) = (u²) / (2g), where u is the initial velocity and g is the acceleration due to gravity.

  10. Acceleration (a) = (v - u) / t, where v is final velocity, u is initial velocity, and t is time.

  11. Work = Force × Displacement (in the direction of the force)

  12. Energy (in kWh) = Power (in kW) × Time (in hours)
