The Directorate of Education (DOE) Delhi has declared CBSE Class 9 results for its schools on March 30, 2026. Earlier, CBSE Class 9 results were announced on March 23 for many schools in Delhi and some other states. Students can check their CBSE 9th results 2026 either on the school’s website or by visiting the school. Most schools will hold Parents-Teachers’ Meetings (PTMs) in March 2026. After the results are declared, the new academic session is set to begin in April 2026. Schools will also conduct the Class 9 CBSE compartment (supplementary) exams in April 2026, with the supplementary results released by the respective schools in the second week of May 2026.

It should be noted that the CBSE does not publish Class 9 results online; instead, schools handle the declaration of results. Students who pass will move on to Class 10 and will sit for the CBSE 10th exams next year. Those who do not clear the Class 9 exams will be given another opportunity through a retest or compartment exam. Read further to get more details.

What are the next steps if I fail the CBSE 9th Exam Results?
- Students who do not pass the CBSE 9th exam results can appear for a retest. The compartment exam or retest is conducted by the schools. The exam date and result date for the same are also announced by the school authorities.
- Students who fail in more than 3 subjects may not be allowed to appear in the CBSE 9th compartment exams. They will have to repeat the academic year.
