Yes, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will have two board exams for Class 10 in 2026. This decision has been taken after consideration of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP). The government aims to reduce student stress by organising two CBSE board exams per year. Students who have not scored satisfactory marks or wish to appear in the exam again will be able to appear for the CBSE Phase 2 class 10 board exams.

A total of 24,12,072 students registered for the CBSE Class 10 examination, and 17,88,165 students registered for the CBSE Class 12 examination.
