The last date for online KVS Mumbai registration is March 21, 2025. The online registration window will be open till 10 pm. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan commenced online registration for Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai 2025-26 in Class 1 from March 7, 2025. The registration form will be made available online at - kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. KVS will release the first provisional KV Mumbai admission list on March 25, 2025 for class 1 and for Balvatika-1 and 3, the provisional list will be released on March 26, 2025. KV Mumbai admission form 2025-26 from Class 2 onwards is released offline through the respective schools only. The registration for Class 2 and above will commence from April 2 to April 11, 2025. Admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Class 2 and above is provided based on vacant seats by following the priority category system.

Kendriya Vidyalaya admission for Class 2 onwards will be held through the schools. Admission to Classes 2 to 8 will be given based on the Priority Category method (1 to 5 or 6, as applicable). For Class 9 admissions, an admission exam will be held to fill the available seats. There will be only one admission exam of 3 hours and 100 marks, comprising 20 marks each for Hindi, English, Math, Social Science, and Science.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai Class 1 Admission 2025-26

• Admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya for Class 1 is done online.
• Students and parents must apply through the official website, romumbai.kvs.gov.in.
• Another way to apply is through Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan's mobile app.
• When you visit the website, you will notice a link to apply for Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai admissions 2025-26 in Class 1. When you click on the link, the online form will appear on your displays.
• Fill in the blanks and submit the form with the necessary documents.
• The list of chosen students will be provided once the application process is concluded.
• In the first phase of admission, 10 seats (out of 40) in Class 1 in each section will be allocated in compliance with RTE provisions.
• The remaining seats will be filled in the second round of admission using the existing Priority category procedure.

Admissions to Classes 2 to 8 in KV Mumbai 2025-26

• Offline applications for admissions to classes 2–8 are accepted. Admissions will be offered exclusively based on available seats.
• The Kendriya Vidyalaya admission form will be accessible in the different schools offline.
• The admission will be granted based on the Priority category system.
• The lottery system may be followed if the number of applicants will exceed the number of seats.

Admissions to Class 9 Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai 2025-26

• The application form for Class 9 admissions will be accessible in the respective KVs in offline mode.
• For admission to Class 9, an admission exam will be conducted.
• The exam will include Hindi, English, Math, Social Science, and Science.
• The test duration will be 3 hours and the total marks will be 100.
• To qualify for the test, a student has to secure a minimum of 33% marks (25% for reserved category students).

Class 11 Admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai 2025-26

• KV students will get admission in Class 11 in the Science, Commerce, and Humanities stream based on marks scored in Class 10.
• The minimum marks required for each stream are as follows:
• A minimum of 60% marks is required for the Science Stream.
• A minimum of 55% marks in the Commerce Stream
• Humanities Stream: All students who have successfully passed the 10th exam
• A merit list will be declared once the registration process is completed.
• If seats remain vacant, then admission will be given to the students of neighbourhood KV’s and the students of State Boards/ICSE/NIOS.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai Admissions 2025-26 Age Limit

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has set an age limit for admissions to classes 1 to 10. The principals of individual schools at Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai have the authority to provide age relaxations of up to two years to differently-abled students. While, there are no age restrictions for Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai Admissions 2025-26 in classes 11th and 12th.
