Kendriya Vidyalaya Chennai 2019 - Candidates seeking admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya 2019 Chennai have to go through the guidelines for admission established by the KV Sangathan. KVs have released the second admission list for admission to class 1. The list is release online on the official website of respective KV and on its notice board too. Admission schedule for Kendriya Vidyalaya Chennai to class 1 began on March 1, 2019. KV admission forms for all classes were made available by Principal of respective school at free of cost. There are 12 branches of KV under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Chennai region and the admission process is common for all the branches. Read below the article to know the complete list of KV Chennai. All Kendriya Vidyalayas are co-educational, composite schools and are affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). For admission to class 1, parents had to fill the application form online and submit it along with the relevant documents in the respective branches of KV Chennai. After the submission is over, the first merit list was declared on March 26 and candidates were called for admission in the respective centre. The eligibility criteria for KV 2019 admission mentions the minimum and maximum age limit, percentage of marks or score required for admission to class 11 and eligibility for Non-KV students.
Parents must note that a child must be 5 years old as on March 31, 2019 for admission to class 1. The child born on April 1 will also be considered for admission to class 1.
There is no age restriction for admission to Class 11 provided the student is seeking admission in the year of passing Class 10 examination.
The maximum age limit for differently abled children by the Principal can be relaxed by two years.
There will be no upper and lower age limit for admission to class 12 provided there has been no break in the continuous study of the student after passing class 11.

Lottery draw for the 25.5% reserved seats under RTE (Right to Education).
For class 2 to 8
Admission will be given based on Priority category system. If applications are more than the number of seats, the lottery system will be followed in each category including single girl child quota.
For class 9
There is a common admission test for KV admission class 9, followed by the declaration of merit list.
For class 10 and 12
Kendriya Vidyalaya 2019 offers admission for class 10 and 12 students based on the number of vacant seats out of the total number of seats in each class.

Employees of Government Funded Institutes of higher learning with 51% share of the central government in it.

Registration forms were available with the respective principal of KVS schools from March 1, 2019 and registration for all classes will be done only if there are seats available in the particular class. Candidates and parents must remember that only completed registration forms should be submitted to the respective KVS schools before the last date for submission.

Upload recent photo and signature and then click on submit.
Candidates should take the printout of the completed application form, attach all the relevant documents and submit them to the respective campus of KV.
The fee for Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi is to be paid by all the students from class 1 to 12. However, the girl student is exempted from paying the tuition fee. No tuition fee for boys upto Class VIII, girls upto Class XII and SC/ST students and children of KVS employees. Children of parents having BPL card are also exempted from paying the fees.

Admissions upto class 8 may be granted without any school transfer certificate provided the child is otherwise eligible and his/her birth certificate has been issued by a Government body.
For grandchildren of KVS employee a proof of relationship of the child’s parent with the KVS employee will be required.
Children belonging to SC/ST/EWS/OBC and BPL categories are required to produce a certificate issued by the State or Union government.
Handicapped or physically disabled candidates are required to produce a certificate from a civil surgeon or rehabilitation center.
A certificate of retirement for uniformed Defense personnel.
For grandchildren of Hon’ble Member of Parliament and PSU employees, a proof of relationship certificate of retirement for uniformed Defence employees of either of the child’s parents with the Hon’ble MP or PSU employee will be needed.
