The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) admission form will be accepted by the KVS Bangalore for class 1 till March 21, 2025 up to 10 pm. The KVS Bangalore application process was started on March 7, 2025, at 10 AM. The admission schedule for KVS Bangalore for the academic year 2025-26 was released on March 6, 2025.
KV Bangalore admissions for Class 1 are conducted online through a lottery and priority category system, whereas admissions for Classes 2 to 12 (except Class 11) take place offline. For Classes 2 to 8, selection is based on a priority category system and an offline lottery, without any entrance exams.
For more details about the KVS Bangalore admission process for 2025-26, students can visit kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. There is no application fee for submitting the online admission form. Parents and guardians seeking admission for their children in Class 2 and above at KV Bangalore must visit the respective Kendriya Vidyalaya in person to complete the application process. The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the school's website or notice board after the submission period ends. Applicants must carry original documents for verification during the admission process. Kendriya Vidyalaya Bangalore admissions for Class 11 will begin following the release of the 10th result. Kendriya Vidyalaya School Bangalore accepts admission forms for class 1 online mode, but KV admission forms 2025-26 for other classes will be available offline. Only the offline forms can be collected and submitted to the individual schools. The admission test is only available for students in class 9. Admission forms for Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bangalore will be available online at robangalore.kvs.gov.in.
You must provide the required documents after successfully submitting the KV Bangalore admission form.
Because there will be new admissions in class 1, the number of seats per section has been set at 40. As a result, the seats for Kendriya Vidyalaya Bangalore admission 2025-26 are distributed as follows.
As per RTE provisions, 10 seats (out of 40) in Class 1 in each section are to be filled (25% of seats), and these 10 seats will be filled by lot from all applicants of SC/ ST/ EWS/ BPL/ OBC (non-creamy layer) who are residents of the neighbourhood/ differently-abled taken together.
The remaining seats will be filled using the current Priority category system. Any shortage in the number of seats allotted for SC/ ST candidates would be made up by accepting SC/ ST applicants.
Admissions to KV in Bangalore are subject to the number of available seats in each class.
The priority category approach will be used for KV Bangalore admissions in 2025-26. For enrollment to these classes, no admission test will be conducted.
If the number of applications exceeds the number of available seats, the lottery system will be used for each category, including the single girl child quota (for class VI onwards).
There will be an admission test for KV admissions in Bangalore in class 9 on the vacant seats.
The exam will be 100 marks, with questions covering all five major subjects: English, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science, and Science.
The test duration will be 3 hours.
The merit list for Kendriya Vidyalaya Bangalore admission 2025-26 in class 9 will be announced by the individual schools based on the student's performance in the admission test.
After the Class 10 results are announced, the admission procedure for the KV in Bangalore will commence.
Students in class 11 can choose a stream based on their performance in class 10.
Minimum marks are required for admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya Bangalore in class 11 in all three streams.
At least 60% in Class 10 in the sciences.
Commerce Stream - A minimum of 55% in Class 10.
Humanities - All students who have passed Class 10.
Bangalore's KV Admissions to classes 10 and 12 are only made when there is a vacancy or when a student transfers.

For class 2nd onwards, a transfer certificate is issued by the previous school.
KV Bangalore reserves certain places for students from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and financially deprived families. The reservation percentage is shown below.
SC students have a 15% reservation in Kendriya Vidyalaya Bangalore admission 2025-26.
The RTE category has 25% of the seats reserved.
Physically disabled students will be allowed a 3% reservation.
7.5% will be given to the students belonging to the ST category.
Other Backward Classes will be given a 27% reservation (OBC-NCL).

Priority is given to children of central government employees or ex-servicemen, as well as foreign national authorities.
Second priority: Children of employees of government-funded institutes.
Third Priority - Children of State Government employees.
Fourth Priority - Children of Autonomous Bodies and Public Sector Employees.
