The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date for uploading storytelling videos by schools for the regional level up to December 10, 2025. Earlier, the last date was November 20, 2025. The CBSE Storytelling regional level competition began on November 6, 2025, through the web portal. The board announced the CBSE storytelling competition 2025-26 for students on October 22, 2025.

Students from Classes 3 to 12 are eligible to participate in the CBSE storytelling competition, which can be conducted in either Hindi or English. Students can participate in the CBSE storytelling competition at three levels. Check out the details below.
School Level - Schools will conduct the storytelling competition on their own for all four categories. They will select the best student entry from each category to participate at the regional level. Selected students from each category can download the certificate of participation after submitting the entry at the CBSE storytelling web portal.
Regional Level - This level will be conducted digitally through the web portal. At the regional level, the 10 best entries will be selected in each category by each CBSE region for winner selection at the national level.
National Level - The selected best entries from the regional level will be evaluated digitally at the National Level by a committee of experts. The winners will get an online Merit Certificate at their registered email address.

Schools can upload the storytelling videos of their students on YouTube and submit that link on the CBSE storytelling web portal.
Step 1: Visit the official website at cbseit.in/cbse/web/story/Login.aspx.
Step 2: Enter the credentials, like affiliation number as username and LOC/registration password.
Step 3: Enter the shortlisted candidate’s details for registration (Maximum 4 student names can be entered from each category).
Step 4: Click on the “Submit” button and save the entry.
Step 5: Generate the final list of shortlisted students having registration numbers.
Step 6: Download the certificate of participation, only after freezing the data.
Students are required to select one topic of their choice based on their classes. They can choose either Hindi or English to deliver the storytelling. Check out the tables below to learn more about the topics to choose from based on the categories from Classes 3 to 12.
