NTSE Kerala 2020 - SCERT Kerala has released the NTSE Kerala stage 1 answer key on scert.kerala.gov.in. Any objection or comments regarding the answer key can be sent through mail on ntsescertkerala@gmail.com before December 4, 2019. NTSE Kerala 2020 stage 1 exam was held on November 17, 2019. The application forms for Kerala NTSE were accepted in online mode through the official website. Only class 10 student studying in the state could apply for NTSE Kerala 2020. The last date to submit application form for NTSE Kerala was September 30, 2019. Kerala NTSE result will be declared in the second week of February 2020 for stage 1 NTSE exam. Shortlisted candidates will compete at stage 2 exam which is a national level exam conducted by NCERT. The exam conducting authority has released the answer key of NTSE Kerala 2020 on November 26. It will contain correct answers to all the questions asked in the exam. Students can download NTSE Kerala Answer Key in online mode and calculate their probable score. In such a way, hey will be able to know the chances of their selection before the result. NTSE Kerala Question Paper 2020

After knowing the syllabus and exam pattern, students should start studying the topics. They should practise with NTSE question papers to know in-depth analysis of the upcoming NTSE Kerala 2020 exam. It will make them familiar with the all major aspects of stage 1 exam which are marking scheme, types and number of questions asked important topics, etc. Students can download the MAT and SAT question papers of the previous year by clicking on the link given above.

NTSE Kerala Reservation system

NCERT prescribed the reservation system for all the states which is followed by SCERT, Kerala to make stage 1 merit list. NTSE Kerala 2020 reservation system is tabulated below:

NTSE Kerala Cutoff

However, qualifying marks for stage 1 Kerala NTSE are 40% and 32% for general and SC/ST/PH category students respectively. But students will have to score NTSE cutoff marks to get them shortlisted for stage 2 exam. SCERT Kerala will release the Cut off marks for stage 1 NTSE Kerala exam in the second week of February 2020. Check NTSE Kerala cut off 2019 in the table given below.

NTSE Kerala Result 2020

SCERT will release the result of the stage 1 Kerala NTSE exam in the second week of February 2020. The result will be made available on the official website in the form of a merit list. The merit list will consist of the details of selected students for stage 2 exam. Cutoff marks are also announced along with the NTSE result 2020. Students who secure these marks can find their names in the merit list.

NTSE Scholarships

The final exam will be held by NCERT and after NTSE stage 2 result, around 220 selected students will be able to avail scholarship up to Ph.d level. The scholarship rates are determined by NCERT which are same for all category students. However, the scholarship amount varies at different levels of study which are given below:

  • Rs. 1250 per month for class 11 and 12.

  • Rs. 2000 per month at UG and PG level.

  • For Ph.D pursuing candidates, the scholarship is provided as per UGC norms.

NTSE Kerala Eligibility Criteria 2020

Students who wish to apply for stage 1 exam must check the NTSE eligibility criteria before applying. They must fulfil the following eligibility criteria to apply successfully:

  • Students must have secured 55% marks in the class 9 exams excluding language subjects.

  • Students studying in class 10 in Kerala state can apply for this exam.

  • Open Distance Learning (ODL) students below the age of 18 are also eligible to apply for this exam. However, this is the first time they are writing the NTSE exam.

NTSE Kerala Application Form 2020

SCERT will release the application forms for stage 1 NTSE Kerala exam in the second week of September 2019. Students will be able to apply through the official website before the last week of September 2019.

Documents Required-

  • Photo (in .jpg or .jpeg format, maximum size 60 kb,
  • PwD Certificate, Caste certificate, OBC-NCL certificate, BPL certificate (as applicable) in pdf format and size should not exceed more than 500 kb.

Application Fee - Rs.250 for General category and Rs.100 for SC/ST/BPL category.

To fill the NTSE Application form, students need to follow the steps below:

  • Go to the official website of SCERT i.e. scert.kerala.gov.in and click on the link of NTSE scholarship exam.

  • Now, click NTSE online application 2019-20 and it will open the NTSE Kerala registration portal.

  • Register with Kerala NTSE by entering required details and press submit button.

  • Username and password will be sent to registered email ID. Now, login with received credentials.

  • Click on NTSE application form and fill the form with all details as asked.

  • Upload relevant certificates and click on submit button.

  • Then enter institute details and other details and click on OK button.

  • Pay the application fee through Credit card/ Debit card, internet banking.

  • Take a printout of the application form and submit to principal/HM for verification.

NTSE Kerala 2020 Admit card

SCERT has released the admit card of Kerala NTSE Stage 1 on November 11, 2019. Admit cards are made available in online mode through the official website. Students can download their NTSE 2020 admit card using the steps given below:

  • First of all go to the official website: http://scert.kerala.gov.in.

  • Click on NTSE link or the link is given above.

  • It will open the login window. Enter application ID, and application number.

  • Kerala NTSE stage 1 Admit card will open on the screen.

  • Take a printout of it and check for the accuracy of details.

Note: Student should contact officials in case of any discrepancy. It’s mandatory to carry admit card to the exam hall.

NTSE 2020 Syllabus

  • NTSE syllabus 2020 is same for both stages and it is based on class 9 and 10 state board syllabus and CBSE curriculum.

  • NTSE exam is divided into two sections: MAT and SAT.

  • MAT comprises the questions from verbal and non-verbal reasoning to test candidates logical thinking and analytical skills.

  • The questions will be asked from analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figure etc.

  • SAT exam is held to test a candidate’s knowledge of Mathematics, Science and Social Science subjects.

  • Students can opt for any one language (English, Malayalam, Tamil or Kannada) as medium of the exam.

NTSE 2020 Exam Pattern

NCERT prescribed the exam pattern of NTSE for both stages. Students appearing for stage 1 NTSE Kerala 2020 should know about the overview of the question paper which is given by exam pattern.

  • It makes students familiar with the marking scheme, number of questions, duration etc.

  • NTSE exam is divided into two sections: MAT and SAT. Objective type questions will be asked in both the sections.

  • There will be no language test.

Ntse stage 1 exam was held in the Month of November 2019. The result for ntse stage 1 exam is declared by respective scert. Many states have declared their result. So it is expected that soon the result for wb ntse will be declared most probably in Second week of March 2020. You can check the official website scholarships.wbsed.gov.in for result.

Hello Aspirant,

Sorry to hear that you are not selected. In this selection procedure they take the top students only. I mean there will be many people who might have scored more than the cut off,at that time there will be a limit to the selection procedure so they take according to that count only. In that the top students will be shortlisted. You might have qualified but not selected because of more competition and more students above you. Hope this is useful


when will Delhi ntse result be announced

NTSE Delhi results will get declared in the month of February, so it may be anytime soon.The result will be in the form of pdf format mentioning the roll number, name, category of the candidate along with total marks including that of MAT score and SAT score.

When will be ntse stage 1 result will be declared in Punjab? Result of Haryana and Karnatka is already been declared.

Hello shristi,

SCERTs have declared the result of NTSE 2020 stage 1 Punjab, Odisha Telangana, and other states. Students can check the NTSE 2020 result stage 1 in the form of merit list. NTSE stage 1 result 2020 pdf contains roll numbers of selected students and their marks. The exam authority has also released the cut off marks with NTSE result 2020.

Students who qualify in NTSE Stage 1 will be eligible to appear for the stage 2 exam. NCERT will conduct the stage 2 exam on May 10, 2020. SCERTs also send the NTSE exam result 2020 to the respective schools. NTSE exam 2020 stage 1 exam was conducted on November 2, 3 & 17, 2019. NTSE 2020 result for stage 2 will be announced by NCERT on ncert.nic.in in August 2020.

What is the cut off of NTSE STAGE 1 PUNJAB in marks?

The expected cut off is as follows for NTSE stage 1 Punjab is as follows for each category

  • General: 130-140
  • SC: 110-120
  • ST: 85-95

The official cut off is yet to be announced.However, cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease slightly based on various factors like number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam etc.
