NTSE Sikkim 2020 - The application forms for NTSE Sikkim Stage 1 have been issued online, on sikkimhrdd.org. Before applying, students must check complete eligibility criteria. The application process is completed in offline mode through schools. The last date to submit the NTSE Sikkim 2020 application forms is September 10, 2019. SCERT will conduct the NTSE stage 1 exam in Sikkim state on November 3, 2019. The admit card for NTSE Sikkim stage 1 exam will be released from October 17, 2019 through schools. Students must prepare strategically to crack Sikkim NTSE exam. NTSE stage 1 and stage 2 exam is held in offline mode, so students can use the answer key to estimate their probable scores. Sikkim NTSE stage 1 result will be announced last week of February 2020 along with cutoff marks. Students wishing to appear for stage 1 exam must know the details NTSE eligibility criteria. The authority can reject any application if a student is found ineligible. Eligibility criteria are explained below to appear for Sikkim NTSE stage 1:
Must be passed class 9 with requisite marks.
Must be studying in class 10 in a recognized school in state.
Students studying under Open and Distance Learning are also eligible for this exam. He/she should appearing in class 10 for first time and age should be less than 18 years.

Registration forms for stage 1 exam are released in offline mode. Student can fill the following steps to fill NTSE application form:
First of all, contact respective school authority and collect application form.
Read all the details mentioned on form and fill all fields carefully with accurate details to avoid rejections of application form.
Attach required documents and paste recent passport size photograph.
Submit completely filled form to respective school authority.
Then they will attest the form and send to examination centers.
After allotment of roll numbers, Admit cards for stage 1 exam are sent to exam Superintendent. These admit cards are provided in Offline mode through schools. Students can collect NTSE admit cards a week before NTSE stage 1 Sikkim exam. Admit card or hall ticket is mandatory to carry to exam hall. No student is allowed to enter without it.
Syllabus is same for both stages of the exam. Student must know NTSE 2020 syllabus before start preparing for stage 1 exam.
There will be two papers only: MAT and SAT.
MAT comprises of reasoning part and SAT section consists of the questions from Mathematics, Science and Social Science subject.
It’s syllabus depends on class 9 and class 10 syllabus of state board and CBSE board.
NCERT has prescribed the exam pattern for stage 1 and stage 2 exam which is followed by SCERT while preparing question paper. There is no negative marking. Candidates must know NTSE exam pattern as given below to prepare well.

Go through the syllabus and exam pattern and prepare a study time table including the time for hobbies and interests.
Understand the basics and grasp the concepts to keep thing remember.

Practicing is the main part of preparation for any exam. So, students must go through NTSE question papers to practise with types of questions asked in exam. They will also be able to analyze their preparation level by practising with it. They can identify their shortcomings and work on to improve them.
OBC (Non-creamy Layer)
SCERT releases the cutoff marks for stage 1 exam in the last week of February 2020. These are the necessary marks to achieve to get selected for the next stage. NTSE Sikkim Cutoff marks are released for all categories along with result. Merit list is prepared on the basis of these marks. Before result, students can use NTSE answer key to know their probable scores and math it with cutoff marks to know the chances of selection.
SCERT, Sikkim will declare stage 1 result for Sikkim state in by the end of February 2020. NTSE Sikkim result will be released in online mode through official website. Students can download merit list of selected students who will go for stage 2 exam. This list mentions roll number, name, father’s name and school of a shortlisted students.
After NTSE Stage 2 result, meritorious students will get scholarships. Scholarship amount is same for all category candidates which is varied at different levels of study. Rates of NTSE Scholarships are given in the table:

The final result will be in the form of a PDF containing the roll number, name, MAT and SAT scores of the students who have qualified for stage 2. You can search the list with your name or roll number to check if you have qualified or not.
