NTSE Sikkim 2024 - Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria include the percentage required, age and other parameters. Students wishing to appear for the NTSE exam must meet the NTSE eligibility criteria which are explained below.

  • A minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PH) in class 9 is a must to be eligible for the exam.

  • Aspirants pursuing class 10 in the current academic year are eligible.

  • He or she must be studying in class 10 in a recognized school in government, private or top Schools in Sikkim.

  • Students studying under Open Distance Learning are eligible if their age is not above 18 years.

  • Students must hold Indian Nationality.

  • NMMS scholarship holders are also eligible

How to Apply for NTSE Sikkim 2024?

Students can fill the following steps to fill NTSE Sikkim 2024 application form.

  • Two coloured passport-sized photos must be attached on both forms

NTSE Sikkim 2024 - Required Document

Below are the documents which need to be submitted along with the Application form

  • For SC, ST, and PH - Copy of caste, reservation, category, and disability certificates. Those who fail to do so must be categorized under the general category.

  • For OBC Candidates - Other Backward Class applicants are required to send a copy of their caste certificate attached with the application. But, their reservation will be applicable only if the below-mentioned conditions are met.

    • Only ‘Non-creamy layer’ candidates will be able to avail the reservation. OBC candidates whose certificate mentions ‘Creamy Layer’ will not enjoy any reservation benefits.

    • One must locate and identify their caste/ community in the ‘Central List of OBCs’ by NCBC (National Council of Backward Classes.

NTSE Sikkim Admit Card

Students can download the NTSE Sikkim stage 1 admit card from the official website. The stage 1 admit card will be released in December 2024. Students can collect NTSE admit card a week before the NTSE stage 1 Sikkim exam. They can check their exam details and exam centre venue on the NTSE Sikkim 2024 admit card. NTSE hall ticket is mandatory to carry to the exam hall. No student will be allowed to enter without it.

NTSE Sikkim 2024 Exam Pattern

The exam consists of Mental Ability Test and Scholastic Ability Test. NCERT prescribes the exam pattern for stage 1 and stage 2 exam followed by SCERT while preparing the question papers. There is no negative marking. Candidates must know NTSE exam pattern mentioned in the given below table.

NTSE Sikkim Cutoff 2024

SCERT releases NTSE Sikkim 2024 cut off for students from each category (General, SC, ST, PH). The NTSE Sikkim cut off will be released along with the declaration of the NTSE Sikkim stage I exam result in February 2025 on sikkimhrdd.org. Students who score equal to or more than the NTSE cutoff marks for their category will be allowed to appear for NTSE stage II exam 2024.
