NTSE Uttarakhand 2019 - SCERT, Uttarakhand will conduct NTSE 2019 stage 1 on November 4, 2018. The admit card of NTSE Uttarakhand 2019 will be handed over to students by school authorities. Candidates are advised to collect the same from their school after October 22, 2019. The application form of NTSE 2019 was released on August 20, 2018. Candidates could either obtain the form offline from school authorities or download it from the official website. Candidates had to submit the completely filled NTSE Uttarakhand application form along with the application fee of Rs.200/- to the school authorities only before September 4, 2018. NTSE Uttarakhand 2019 will be held for class 10 students from Uttarakhand only. NTSE is a scholarship programme conducted for the first time in 1963 limited to students of union-territory Delhi, later expanded across all the states/UT’s in India.

NTSE is conducted annually in two stages, stage 1 and 2. NTSE stage 1 is conducted as selection round for stage 2. Similarly, students who qualify NTSE Uttarakhand 2019 will succeed to the second/ final stage of the examination. What's New in NTSE Uttarakhand 2019?

 Changes in Exam Pattern - Language test will no longer be conducted for NTSE stage 1 examinations from 2019, which is applicable to NTSE 2019 Uttarakhand as well. Only Mental Ability Test and Scholastic Ability Test will be conducted.

 Reservation for OBC category - OBC or Other Backward Classes have been added to the reservation list with a reservation percentage of 27%.

NTSE Uttarakhand 2019 Eligibility Criteria

SCERT, Uttarakhand conducts NTSE Uttarakhand only for class 10 students from the state. The eligibility criteria for the state level talent search states the following criterion to be met to apply.

  • Applicant must a student of class 10, studying in the current academic year (2018-19).

  • The applicant must have a score of at least 65% in class in 9 for general category, and 55% for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH).

  • Class 10 students who appeared in board examination in 2018 cannot apply for NTSE Uttarakhand 2019.

  • Class 10 students from government, private, Govt. aided, unaided schools in Uttarakhand are eligible to apply.

  • Open and Distance Learning (ODL) class 10 students are also eligible to apply for the exam given that their age doesn’t exceed 18years and they are not employed at the time of application.

How to Apply for NTSE Uttarakhand 2019?

Candidates had to follow the steps provided below to successfully apply for NTSE Uttarakhand 2019.

  • Download and print a copy of application form, and admit card/ verification card.

  • Fill both the forms properly under the supervision of parents or a teacher. Improperly filled application and admit card form will be subject to rejection.

  • Two coloured, passport sized photos should be attached on both, the application form, and verification card form. Both the photographs should be attested by the school Principal/ Head of Institution.  


NTSE Uttarakhand 2019 Required Documents

For SC, ST, and PH - A copy of caste, reservation, category, and disability certificates must be attached along with the application form. Those who fail to do so must give exam under general category.

For OBC Cadidates - OBC or Other Backward Class applicants will also be required to send a copy of their caste certificate attached with the application. But, their reservation will be applicable only if the following conditions are met.

  • Only ‘Non-creamy layer’ students will be able to avail the reservation. OBC candidates whose certificate says ‘Creamy Layer’ will not enjoy any reservation benefits.

  • Applicants must locate and identify their caste/ community in the ‘Central List of OBCs’ by NCBC (National Council of Backward Classes. To find your caste/ community in the Central List of OBCs click here.


NTSE Uttarakhand 2019 Application Submission

Properly filled application form with all the required documents and photographs attached should have been submitted to the Block Education Officer as per the block of applicant before September 4, 2018.

 

NTSE Uttarakhand Admit Card 2019

Applicants can collect their NTSE admit card 2019 from their respective school after October 22, 2018. This document is of utmost importance as no student will not be allowed inside the examination hall without NTSE Uttarakhand admit card/verification card.

 

How to Prepare for NTSE Uttarakhand 2019?

Students preparing for NTSE Uttarakhand to be held on November 4, 2019 should prepare with three primary materials. First, the exam pattern should be understood clearly, then students should go through the syllabus and study for the subjects. And lastly, solving sample papers as frequently as possible while studying for the class 10 boards.

 

NTSE Uttarakhand Exam Pattern 2019

All NTSE stage 1 exams will have Mental Ability Test, and Scholastic Ability Test. Language Comprehension Test is no longer a part of the examination. Both tests will have 100 questions each, making it a total of 200 questions. There will be no negative marking, and each question is for 1 mark. NTSE Uttarakhand Sample and Question Paper 2019

NTSE Uttarakhand Answer Key 2019

Participants should expect the answer key of NTSE Uttarakhand 2019 to be released within the next few weeks of the exam commencement date. The official NTSE Uttarakhand answer key 2019 will be released by SCERT, Uttarakhand by the last week of November 2018. The answer key will provide access to correct answers for questions asked in MAT and SAT test at NTSE Uttarakhand scheduled on November 4, 2018. Leading coaching institutes are expected to release their answer key of NTSE Uttarakhand within a week of the exam date.

 

NTSE Uttarakhand Cutoff 2019

It is anticipated that cut off marks of NTSE Uttarakhand 2019 will be declared with the result between the months of January and February 2019. NTSE Uttarakhand Cut off 2019 will be released for all participating category of students. Students who score equal to or more than the cut off marks for their category will be qualified for NTSE stage 2, 2019.

 

NTSE Uttarakhand Result 2019

SCERT, Uttarakhand is expected to declare the result of NTSEUttarakhand 2019 between the month of January, and February 2019. NTSE Uttarakhand result 2019 will be downloadable in PDF format. The result fill will contain merit list of the students who qualify the exam. The merit list will state marks scored in MAT, SAT, over all merit scores, and rank of these participants.

 

NTSE Scholarship Details

Funded by HRD Ministry, Govt. of India, under NTSE programme a 1,000 scholarships are awarded each year. NCERT, the national conducting body of NTSE is responsible for distribution of scholarships are per the norms. Students who qualify NTSE stage 2, 2019 will be eligible to avail the scholarship.
