NTSE Gujarat 2020- Gujarat State Examination Board (GSEB) has extended the last date to submit the Gujarat NTSE applications 2020. Students can submit the NTSE Gujarat application form 2020 till September 16, 2019. However, the last date to submit the application fee is September 17, 2019. NTSE Gujarat 2020 stage 1 exam will be held on November 3, 2019, for class 10 students from the state. Candidates can download their NTSE 2020 Admit card in the third week of October from the official website i.e. sebexam.orpgujarat.com. Shortlisted candidates through NTSE 2020 Gujarat will appear for stage 2 of NTSE exam.

NCERT has laid down the eligibility criteria for NTSE stage 1 exams. One must satisfy the below mentioned NTSE eligibility criteria to appear in the exam.
Candidate must be pursuing class 10 in the current academic year of 2019-20.
Students must secure at least 55% marks in class 9 to be eligible for the NTSE exam.
Those who have appeared for class 10 board examinations in 2019 are not eligible.
Candidates must have studied in government, private or Top Schools in Gujarat.
Open Distance Learning students are also eligible such that their age is not above 18 years.
NMMS scholarship holders are also eligible.
Gujarat board has released the applications for Gujarat NTSE 2020 from August 13 in the online mode on the official website. The last date to fill NTSE online application form is September 14, 2019. Check the steps given below to apply for NTSE Gujarat 2020.

Note: Examination fee for NTSE Gujarat exam 2020 is Rs 70/- for General category applicants, and Rs 50/- for the reserved categories.

Only Mental Ability Test ( MAT ) and Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) are included in NTSE Gujarat. A total of 200 questions are asked in the exam, 100 questions from each test. GSEB or NCERT do not prescribe NTSE syllabus for stage 1, so students must refer to class 9th and CBSE class 10 syllabus. Candidates have to refer to the official PDF that gives information on SAT and MAT. They can use the same to hone their preparation. Students must refer NCERT syllabus as it is similar to NTSE Syllabus
Mental Ability Test - Questions that include logical reasoning and problem-solving skills of the students.
Scholastic Ability Test - Factual knowledge of students in Mathematics, Science and Social Science is tested.
Students should follow the NTSE Preparation tips mentioned below to qualify Stage 1 exam:
Study on a regular basis and do your best. Devote time for each topic and take breaks during study to keep mind fresh.
Analyze the syllabus and exam pattern and prepare a timetable accordingly
Go through Best books for NTSE and make notes on important topics. These notes will be helpful at the time of revision.
Practice, Practice and Practice: This plays a major role to crack any exam. Practice aids students to memorize the topics.
Solve previous year NTSE Question Papers to be familiar with the types of questions asked in the examination and by this one will be able to evaluate themselves and overcome their shortcomings.
Solve NTSE sample papers in stipulated time to learn time management for the exam.
The answer key for NTSE Gujarat will be released officially in form of pdf in the second week of November 2019. NTSE Answer Key consists of correct answers for questions asked in MAT and SAT. It helps students to check their answers and calculate their expected scores in the exam.
The board will announce the result on the official website in the month of March 2020. NTSE result contains marks obtained in SAT, MAT, and overall merit scores of each candidate. GSEB will release a merit list of selected students who are qualified for NTSE stage 2 exam which will be conducted on May 10, 2020 by NCERT
The cut off of NTSE Gujarat 2020 will be declared along with the result in month of March.GSEB will released a cut off for students from each category (general, SC, ST, PH). Students must check NTSE cutoff as per their category to know if they are qualified for stage 2 or not.

The total marks of NTSE have been increased from 150 to 200 along with the removal of the language test. The official cut off will be released along with the result. The cutoff is expected to be around 140.
