SCERT, Himachal Pradesh puts forward several eligibility criteria for the students to appear in NTSE Himachal Pradesh exam. Read the conditions of NTSE eligibility criteria 2020 below:
Candidates appearing for the exam must have cleared class 9 with at least 60% marks. However, SC/ST/OBC/PCG candidates must score 55% marks in class 9 for appearing in the stage I exam.
Students who are engaged in any job with salary, stipend or remuneration are not eligible for the scholarship.
Getting a scholarship from any other source will cause the cancellation of the NTSE scholarship for that period/year.
The Indian students studying abroad in Class X shall be permitted to appear directly for the stage II exam on the basis of certain norms by NCERT.
The hard copy of NTSE HP has been released online. Students must fill and submit the Himachal Pradesh NTSE application form till September 14, 2019. The application forms are available in the online mode on the official website of SCERT, Himachal Pradesh. NTSE 2020 application form can also be obtained from the state liaison officer. Fill in the required details very carefully and make sure that the form is signed by the applicant, their parents, and the school principal on both the forms. Keep the admit card form attached to the application form. Candidates may take the assistance of their teacher/guardian in case of any confusion while filling the form.
Photocopies of caste or any other special reservation certificate must be attached if the candidate belongs to any reserved category.
NTSE Himachal Pradesh application form must be submitted to the State’s liaison officer. Applicants can also submit the same in their schools. The school authority will further transfer it to the liaison officer.

NTSE HP admit card can be downloaded on the official website of SCERT, Himachal Pradesh in the fourth week of October. NTSE admit card include the details such as the candidate's name, roll number, exam schedule, information about the test centre, etc. Students must take along their admit card positively on the examination date. No candidate will be allowed in the exam hall without the same in any condition.
The Himachal Pradesh NTSE question paper is divided into two sections i.e., Mental Ability Test (MAT), and Scholastic Ability Test (SAT). Each question carries one mark. Go through the table below for the complete information about the NTSE exam pattern.

Students must note that there’s no specified syllabus for NTSE exam. The syllabus of class 9th and some topics of 10th must be prepared well by the students as NTSE 2020 syllabus is very similar to the syllabus of these classes. Find in the table below the important topics for NTSE exam.

Students must prepare for Himachal Pradesh NTSE 2020 exam using sample papers. These sample papers are the solved previous year NTSE question papers which will help candidates to know the exam pattern and types of questions asked. This will also help them to know the important topics and add to the art of time management. NTSE exam is conducted in a definite pattern every year.
SCERT releases the official NTSE HP answer key in the month of September. Candidates must use NTSE Himachal Pradesh Answer Key to calculate an estimate of scores they may obtain in NTSE Himachal Pradesh 2020. A few coaching institutes will also release the answer keys on the exam day for the convenience of the students. However, stage 2 NTSE answer keys will be released by NCERT after the conduction of the exam on May 10, 2020.
SCERT, Himachal Pradesh will release the results for stage I exam in the first week of February 2020. NTSE Himachal Pradesh result contains MAT, SAT, overall scores and basic details of selected candidates for NTSE stage II 2020. It must be noted that only the candidates who qualify the State level exam will be allowed to sit in stage 2 National level exam. The final NTSE result will be declared by NCERT in the month of September 2020. Students listed in the NTSE final merit list will receive the scholarship.
SCERT Himachal Pradesh releases the NTSE Himachal Pradesh cutoff in the online mode. Himachal Pradesh NTSE cut off is the minimum score a candidate requires in order to qualify the exam. The total marks of NTSE have been increased from 150 to 200 along with the removal of the language test. The official cut off will be released along with the result. The cutoff is expected to be around 140.
