NTSE Telangana 2020 - DGE has released NTSE Telangana 2020 Application form and students can apply before September 6, 2019. Telangana NTSE stage 1 exam will be held on November 3, 2019. Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) shortlists students through stage 1 NTSE exam in Telangana. These shortlisted candidates go for NTSE stage 2 exam conducted by NCERT. Candidates appearing in class 10 are eligible to fill NTSE Telangana 2020 Application forms through their schools. NTSE Telangana 2020 admit cards are also made available through schools. After applying successfully and getting the admit card, students will be able to appear for the Stage 1 NTSE Telangana 2020 exam. The NTSE 2020 exam will be conducted in offline mode and the result will be declared in online mode in the second week of February 2020. Students must check the NTSE eligibility criteria before filling the application form so that they can avoid the rejection of the application form. NTSE Telangana 2020 Eligibility criteria are given below:

The student must be passed class 9 exams during the year 2018-19 and scored 60% marks.
Students must be studying in class 10 in a school during 2019-20 in the state.
DGE, Telangana is the responsible authority to administer the NTSE stage 1 application process in the state. It's application forms are released online mode and schools can access and fill these forms on behalf of students. Students can contact their schools to fill the NTSE application form 2020. They will have to provide their photograph, signature and documents to the school.
First of all, schools need to go to the official website: bse.telangana.gov.in and click on NTSE. Then, click on the NTSE application.
It will open the application form login window. Enter the school code and password in the appropriate fields. Click on login button.
Click on the link of New candidate and it will open a blank NTSE application form. Fill a candidate’s details in the form and upload photo with signature.
Upload caste/Medical certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC/PHC candidates. Click on Submit application to submit the form.
Now, schools need to submit Two sets of Nominal Rolls, printed and attested Application and documents of each candidate and challan to the office of concerned District Educational Officer.

Note: Students need to register for stage 1 exam only and for stage 2 selected students no need to register separately. They will be able to download stage 2 admit card through the NCERT official website using their stage-1 credentials.
Students who wish to appear for stage 1 NTSE Telangana exam will have to pay Rs. 100 as examination fee. They can submit the fee to the respective school authority after which schools will pay the fee through challan.
The admit cards for stage 1 exams are made available by DGE, Telangana through the respective school. Students can collect their admit cards from the schools 10 days prior to the exam. Selected students will be able to download NTSE admit cards 2020 for the stage 2 exam from the NCERT official website.
NCERT prescribed the syllabus of NTSE which is the same for both stage exams. NTSE syllabus is based on class 9 and 10 syllabus of NCERT which includes the topics, subtopics of a subject from which questions are asked. The NTSE exam is divided into two parts: MAT and SAT.
MAT section consists of questions from verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
SAT section comprises the questions from Mathematics, Science and Social Science subjects.
NCERT sets the exam pattern of NTSE for stage 1 and stage 2 exams. Candidates preparing for NTSE Telangana 2020 must know the exam pattern to be aware of marking scheme, section-wise weightage. It will provide an overview of the exam and will help to prepare a study time table accordingly. There will be two papers in the exam that are MAT and SAT. Both will carry 100 marks and 100 questions each and a total of 2 hours duration will be given to solve each exam. No mark will be deducted for any wrong answer.

Books: The next step is to choose the best books for NTSE 2020. However, most of the schools and teachers recommend NCERT Books but students should refer some other books to have additional information about the topics.
Practise: Solve NTSE Question Papers to be familiar with marking scheme, types and level of questions asked in exam. With the help of NTSE Telangana question papers students will be able to analyze their preparation level.
Go through the NTSE exam analysis to know about subject-wise, section-wise exam analysis and devise a plan to crack the exam.
DGE also releases the answer key of NTSE stage 1 exam. It mentions the right answers to the questions asked in the exam. Candidates can download the NTSE answer key in online mode and match their answers to know the probable scores.
The result of stage 1 exam will be released in the second week of February 2020. Students will be able to access their NTSE result 2020 through the official website by entering the roll number in the result window. Selected students can see their name and other details in the merit list and these students compete at stage 2 exam.
DGE, Tamil Nadu also releases the cutoff marks along with the result. These are the least marks that are required to clear the stage 1 exam. Candidates who score the NTSE cutoff marks can find their names in the merit list. These cutoff marks are prepared on the basis of predetermined factors such as:
Number of students appeared
Number of available scholarships
Difficulty level of question papers.
NCERT provides scholarships to the deserving candidates through this exam. DGE selects some students from the state and they appear for stage 2 exam. After NTSE stage 2 Result, 216 candidates from Telangana State will get scholarships. All category students will be awarded the same rate of scholarships and it will vary at different levels as given below:
Rs.1250/- at Higher Secondary level.
Rs.2000/- at Graduate and Post Graduate level.
For Ph.D degree, the scholarship is provided as per UGC norms.

The total marks of NTSE have been increased from 150 to 200 along with the removal of the language test. The official cut off will be released along with the result. The cutoff is expected to be around 140.
